I had to give a competitive exam called CUET-UG. This college+course combination was not something that I wanted but I put this in on my preference list for the counselling, so as to get a college and start with my education.
Once again I did not choose this course. But this course at DSC has its advantages. Unlike other courses faculty here at Department of English is permanent, and disciplined. Teachers do not miss classes and have a proper judgement of the student’s skills. Review process of term exams, were intermediate, and so were the questions.
I have done 2 internships previously but I did not find those opportunities through the placement cell. The societies here at Dyal Singh College have a very experimental and extravagant approach to them. Their processes are streamlined with the faculty and they generally have a very positive recognition around the DU circuit. Best societies are Roots - Indian Music, Exposure - Photography, Evolve - Content Creation and Experimental Marketing. There is also a negative side to this college’s social life. That is the involvement of politics in the college. Due to which there are multiple chances of fights and brawls to appear within the college.
I have not opted for a hostel.

Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
