- I really like the college campus. The surroundings the environment it's always peaceful and quiet which is perfect for an educational institution I think. There's a college canteen and I love the samosa's there xD. So, samosa is like my favourite snacks now.
Dislikes
- Like I mentioned before if they can renovate the boy's bathroom that would be great and changed the batteries of the clocks in all the classrooms.
Remarks :
I had to meet one of my HOD before I joined this college. He showed me around the college and we had a small questioning session where he asked me some questions related to my career and educational background. The college is overall neat and clean with lots of accomodations like Library, Labs, Studio, Gardens aside from that the only thing that gave me an ick was the boy's college toilet, it was not well maintained with cobwebs and the water just runs out anytime so I think that's the only negative feedback from me. The overall admission or to pay the fees process is really easy and convenient there's 5 people in the college office counter which makes things faster and easier for us.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I want to become a sports journalist. I never really sat down with my teachers and talked about their qualifications but the way they teach us is really innovative and fresh it's not like the old school taking out their laptops, sliding some slides and the class is over, no. They actually make us understand everything in depth and we also conduct practicals for specific topics which is really fun. My HOD has been working there for like 5 years now if I'm not wrong. The knowledge the teachers gives us are always new and keep us wanting to learn more. The exams are always conducted at the end of the semester. A semester is of 6 months so at the 6th month the exam is conducted and it's not that hard to be honest. I would rate it like 6/10 in terms of difficulty level. I'm not a bright student, I'm just an average but I work hard during my last two months of my semester Lol, and I think a lot of my friends would agree too with me on that difficulty level.
Internships Opportunities :
Although my college does not provide direct internship opportunities, it offers valuable support for students seeking internships. The college and the teachers helps us in building career decisions and for future studies and also the students take approaches to reach out to various people and group with their skill and resources gained.
Placement Experience :
So far I haven't heard of any given placements from my college. I plan on doing masters after completing my course. I have been securing good CGPA for the past semester and thriving to do better so that I can get into any university I want to. I'm also hoping I can study abroad for my masters and really hoping I can make it.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The admission fees are ?3500 for every new semester and the annual year fees are ?27000. MMC course is of 4 years so it sums around like ?108000 for the complete course excluding the admission fees. The fees have been the same ever since I joined and further information has been given to us as of now. The college provides scholarships but since I belong to ST category I haven't done a research here of how to apply for ST category scholarships here so I don't know much about it. I have less idea about if the college provides like merit cum or financial aid for the students.
Campus Life :
I'm not very sociable so I spent most of my free time in the library but I see people chilling in the garden having lunch and just having good laughs which really gives a good energy. Our college doesn't really celebrate any fest because we have limited students but we do have sports and other activities that includes Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Running and indoor games. The library has all the books a student needs for his curriculum so there's no negative remark there. The classrooms are a bit too cold during the winters because we have a lot of trees in our campus that blocks the sunlight during cold cloudy days, it protects us from the hot sun during the summer with shade and cool breeze but also a torture during the winter. The classrooms have good infrastructure, with no scribble in the desk or benches and 24/7 power supply.
Hostel Facilities :
No, I have not opted for a hostel. I stay in rent in a place called Bakshi Nagar, Opp to Karan Hotel, Jammu. It's not that far from my college. It takes me around like 20-30 mins to reach college (traffic time included). Bakshi Nagar is the perfect place so far, Medical stores, Hospitals, Hotels, Bakery, Vishal, V Mark, Markets, are all available in just 5 by foot. Also the rent is not that pricey I think it's good enough and they also have lot's of security cameras on every street corners which I personally really like.

Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
