Just a Small Intro but GC College
Remarks :
The admission process during my tenure was based off of Merit marks and I took direct admission in the college. The good factors throughout my college experience was the response by my Departmental Faculty members. The bad factor on the other hand was lack of attendance of the students due to which certain classes were cancelled off.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I always wanted to pursue a career in Literature and from what I had always heard before, the curriculum and faculty members of our department have always been top-notch. Plus, the response has been great till now and I would happily say, because of the guidance received, I have been able to reach till my 5th Semester without any backlogs.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet, as I am hoping to go for higher studies in the future. I am planning to opt for masters in my current field. But, here interships offered are less but the ones offered are from very well to do organisations.
Placement Experience :
Since, it is a college for general degrees, the placements here are low but we do have cells for future career planning and guidance. We also have proper coaching centers for people pursuing for Govt. Examinations.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
A fee of Rs. 11,500 for the First Year, as I had taken Mass Communication as my Pass Subject alongside my Honours Subject. A fee of Rs. 10,000 for the Second Year, as I had done the same but this time the tuition fee decreased. A fee of Rs. 5,000 for the Third/Final year, as because this time the Pass Subject wasn't there hence the fee was charged according to my Honours.
Campus Life :
I would say the life at campus has been okay(ish) till now. There are clubs but mostly they are inactive. The best thing about this college is the exposure for sports and ncc cadets. Sometimes, we students get the chance to go for college trips once a year.
Hostel Facilities :
The college is in my hometown, so I didn't opt for hostels. I travel by my scooter every day. Whereas, about the mess we don't have one for day scholars but it is there inside the hostels. We have a common canteen, it is small but does the work. There is a fixed process of form fillup for the hostel applications.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
