- Toilets are not available for girls. College authority should look at this.
- Office staff behaviours are not good at all . College should look at this .
Remarks :
The first factor that made me choose this college is its location. It is near by my house around 5 to 10min of walking distance. So I choose this college and selected my course . The good thing about this college is its campus . Campus is very beautiful and surrounded by nature . Classrooms are near and clean and whiteboard and smartboard are attached to the walls. One thing college need to improve is toilets . Toilets are not maintained and bad smells come from the toilet. Even girls toilet are not there in the college. Taking admission in the college is simple process. You have to go to the samarth portal and from there you have to apply in the college if you are eligible than you will be selected.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Gurucharan College is famous for its fest and programs. Extracurricular activities like annual sports , quiz competition and other things are held in the college. Faculties are also good. They try their best to provide every single information and knowledge they have to us . Their is a positive relation between faculties and students. Exams are difficult little bit which helps students to prepare more for exams.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for any internship because intership opportunities are not available in the college. After completing graduation I have to search jobs myself. You can expect salary of 30000 in a month .
Placement Experience :
In our college there is no placement opportunities. After completing graduation students have to search jobs by themselves. If you are an avarage student than you can expect of avarage of 25000. Around 90% students pass from the college.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For Bsc Economics 7000 rs fees yearly. Other departments may have different fees . For private departments like Mass Communication the yearly fees is around 14000 . Someone can take free admission by submitting income certificate to the college. For students there are scholarships also in which they get 8000 per month total 80000 in 10 months .
Campus Life :
College campus is good and surrounded by nature. Halls are big and in every halls CCTV camera are fixed. White boards and smart board are also attached to the wall . In college library facilities are also available. There is a big library situated in campus. Students can take book into their homes by using library cards. In library there are so many books . College is also famous for its extracurricular activities like annual sports and other programs.
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for hostel. My house is very close to the college so I don't need hostel . I can come from my home daily because transportation facilities are available. But in the college hostel is available and food of the hostel is also considerable.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
