Likes
- The overall college experience is good. I like the peaceful vibe. You are free to do anything without any restrictions whatsoever. The infrastructure is good from the outside. Campus life is great for students living in hostels. College is full of greenery and beauty.
Dislikes
- Conditions of classes can be improved. Lack of seriousness among faculty members sometimes. Sudden changes made in timetable by professors leading to problems for students living far away.
Remarks :
Admission process was not that complex. Entrance exam was conducted for my course , and only 25 students were selected according to the cut-off , so entrance exam for government colleges are pretty competitive. There were no interviews or group discussion, just an exam. The good aspect of this college is that it provide skillful courses that not many colleges are providing such as language courses and they are affordable too. The bad aspect would be the office faculty of this college for not being serious at their job.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I always wanted to learn a new language so that's why i opted for this course and it has a great scope aswell. Professor's are qualified and some of them are holding phd degree and their teaching method is good but not great i would say.
Internships Opportunities :
Placement rates in doon University are pretty average. Students need to focus on out campus placements but companies like Accenture, amazon, policy baazar , infosys offers a good salary package to students.
Placement Experience :
This course provides a great scope for future opportunities as respected companies like Accenture, amazon etc companies provides job offers. Average package would be upto 5lpa and highest would be 6 to 10lpa.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fee structure of my course for one semester is 17200 for general category, and for obc, sc, st it would be around 15000. Tuition fee is around 10000 and other fee include 7000. The fee structure may vary as per different courses. Since the 1st semester, the fee has been increased by few hundreds.
Campus Life :
Every language department has their own cultural fest , for eg , our spanish department conduct "día del libro" during the month of april. Easy availability of books in library. There are different clubs and groups of singing, dancing, sports, beatboxing etc. There is an Instagram page "doon_ university 2005" run by students.

Placement Experience :
My plans after completing the course will include trying to land a job in this particular field only, that is laboratory. As well as I'm going to pursue teaching in the future as well. I am also looking forward to looking for jobs suitable to the course.

Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
