Likes
- The college front yard is good where the teachers park their vehicles.
- The college campus is small but lively as everyone us in touch with others.
Dislikes
- The space in the college is very limited and many a times there are no parking spaces. The parking space is very less as compared to the students in the college.
- The teachers are not much supportive and friendly as no one really helps during any need.
Remarks :
In guwahati K.C. Das Commerce college is very renowned and has a better education surrounding as compared to other colleges. The minimum requirement to enroll in this college is 60% subject to availability of seat. On the basis of class 12 results the college releases its merit list and waiting list. The students who got their name in the merit list are required to go to the campus for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Bachelors of commerce is a good course but do not offer much of a learning experience. The practical experience is very limited where most of the students do not get to learn the real life applications of the theories they learn un the college. The theory contains commerce learnings and business world applications.
Internships Opportunities :
Currently I have not opted for any internship programs as none are provided by the college till now. The college does promote career guidance and also guides the students who are in need of such guidance.
Placement Experience :
There are not much opportunities orr placement provided by the college. In very rare cases the students have hit placement but not much attractive. The college does offers internship and learning programs that are held in the conference hall of the college. The college is also very active is maintaining learning programs and career guidance programs.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure in our college for wach year is around 5350 rupees. There are reservations for ghe SC,ST where they can get free admission by showing required documents. For general there are no such concessions. Every semester we are also required to fee a certain amout of practical fees.
Campus Life :
The infrastructure of the college is very small. Just fee buildings and not much of a campus or any sports grounds of fields or court. The environment is very noisy and loud where whole day traffic exists. The books in the library are good and available for us to borrow. Extracurricular activities are not much supported as there are no fields in the college for such training.
Hostel Facilities :
The college does not have its own hostel. There are many pgs in the area where maximum student reside. The canteen is good and affordable but the food quality is not that great. There are many pgs in front of the college where the admission process is bery easy but costly.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
