My problem was that I didn't decided that what shall I do after my junior college. I was completely unaware of every course and what my friends are going to do. First I thought that I shall do hotel management but then I decided to go for pharmacy. But then as everyone was doing engineering I did the same. I started preparing for MHT-CET exam and at the time of results I scored 70 percentile which was average score and in this score colleges were very far to travel. Then I decided to take a gap year for study but then my second try also scored the same . And after no option I choose to do BSC and my dream college was wilson.
I was left with no othe options so I went for BSC and it doesn't matter if you're doing this only for degree. The Chemistry faculty is very good in manner, polite and solves the queries of students in a very polite and helpful manner not like other department I would not like to mention here.
I haven't yet opted for any internships but going to in my second year. Many teachers hepls us in finding the internships at the time of college which can hepl you while getting hired by any company. H
The placement can differ by courses even in BSC and BSC-IT. Most preferred ones are IT's. But if you score well in CHEMISTRY you can get hired by some companies such as CIPLA etc. Many other companies come every year but the packages are very low as expected only for degree you can't get packages higher that 400000/-.
The fees structure is yearly. There is fee benefits for reservation category people. Charges for journal are taken as per need or every semester. No fee for lab instruments use but if you break it they may charge you.
So there are two-three festivals happening here every year. And the upcoming festival is OLÉ in December while Christmas. The library is well stocked and you can find any books you want like for college studies or research studies. I don't know much about sports and extracurricular activities but you can join the NSS camp as they have a very special job and training.
The hostel of the college is exactly infront of the college so you don't need to worry about travel from hostel room to college. The infrastructure of the hostel is very good and old looking. The old British building look and feel. There is three time food services. Don't know about the affordability of hostel as I don't stay there. If you want to rent a PG then you can find it in grant road which is near to the college (approx 1-2 kilometres distance)
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
