To get into PCCOE there are 2 entrance exams i.e. MHTCET and JEE Mains. There is also a management quota for direct admission. Through MHT-CET you need to score at least above 96%ile to get into the (CS/IT/Entc) branches and in JEE Mains at least above 93-94%ile.
I am from ENTC dept. and I have chosen, here most of the faculties are well experienced. Many faculties have an orthodox way of teaching which may or may not suit various students. As the college is autonomous the academic curriculum is designed by the college itself. The curriculum is designed by keep the industry requirements into consideration.
Placement cell of the college is really good. Around 60-70 companies visit every year. And the average packages offered are around 4-4.5 LPA. Also for the students applying from off-campus get very good packages.
The fee structure for the general category students is tuition fees: 120000, development fee: 18000, University fee: 1345, Student Activity Fee: 1000. There are various fee structures for the management quotas depending on the branch.
The campus of PCCOE consists of 2 big lawns, a cafe, a canteen, a large boys hostel, a girls hostel, and some academic buildings. The campus is well-maintained. There are many clubs inside every department and also some interdisciplinary clubs. There are 5 motorsport teams, 1 aviation team, and 1 rocketry team. Here students can use their engineering knowledge in practical manner. There is also a cultural club.
PCCO has a 12-floor giant boys hostel which includes 240 rooms each room has the capacity to accommodate 3 students. A room consists of 3 single beds, 3 study tables and 3 chairs with an air-conditioner. The room service is done once per week. The room also has an attached toilet and bathroom. Mess is included in the hostel. the quality of the food is average. The hostel fee is around 140000. there are also many PG's and external hostels are present outside the college at walkable distance fro m the college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
