I chose this college because of its outstanding reputation and vast opportunities it provides to its students in terms of academics, placement and one's growth as a being. The second reason for its location , being located in New Delhi this college provide a dynamic atomosphere with exposure to various cultural and professional events. I had also heard positive reviews about this colleges from my friends and family who emphasized the college's excellent faculty who has degrees from IITs and many foreign univerisities, supportive enviroment etc. The admission process is conducted through Jamia's own councelling process which you have apply on the college's website www.jmi.ac.in when it opens ( usually starts in Feb or March) along with JEE Main Examination , the admission is purely based on merit , there is no group discussions or interviews , for admission in B.Tech. you have to appear in JEE Main secure a rank and apply for Jamia's councelling process.
I chose Mechanical Engineering because I had a keen intereset in it , with so much advancement in technology , mechanical is not only about machine and manufacturing, with offers a vast range of career option in robotics , design , automation , space exploration . It has many overlaps with other branches like electrical , electronics computer science etc. The faculty is very nice and supportive , they have their degree from IITs , foreign universities and other well established colleges. They have years of teaching experience , many having experience of more than 30 years now , with so much years of experience they know exactly to how to teach a concept to the student so that they understand the best . The exams are done timely and the difficutly I would say is under "moderate to difficult" .
You can apply for internship on your own by applying to various government and private internships . You can get internship opportunities by the college too, the companies that come here for placement of final year student provide internships to non-final year students too with or without stipend depend on the company and its profile. It can be a software engineer internship or internship in some construction company for civil engineering students . There is no branch restriction, if you have the required skill you will get the internship.
Jamia provide a good opportunity for its student through campus placement in which many renowned companies take part in like Accenture , Samsung, Siemens, L&T, Tata , Mahindra etc. The eligibilty for placement different for different company , some campanies require a student with certain SPI and no backlogs , it is different for different companies , some have no bar on CGPA. The placement is higher for branches like and computer science engineering and electronics and relatively lower for electrical , mechanical and civil engineering . The highest offer for this year is 18LPA . For Mechanical branch L&T takes 10-15 student with a CTC of 6 LPA. I want to take part in the campus placements.

You can be a part of University team and play so many sports or you can be for fun in Jamia's large Sports Complex which has a very good infrastructure and amenities. The college has few social group that are run by students like the Chess Club and Robotics Club.
The Hostel is quite good here , there are two boys and girls hall of residence for each, there comes many hostel under these hall of residence for boys and girls . few are old hostel but all have the necessary facilities like wif , RO and water cooler , hot water , common room, lawns and playground. Each hall of residence has one or two Gym and Canteen etc. The hostel mess food is okayish-good to eat , both vegetarian and non vegetarian food are available . The infrastructure of all the hostels are good . You have to apply for the hostel on the college website once every year (Aug-Sep generally every year) and it is allocated based on points , the points are given based on percentage of marks scored in qualification exam (XII, Bachlors, Masters for admission in bachlors, masters and PhD. respectively) , distance of your home town, Income level, have any sports certificate , ncc or nss etc and a interview of 25 points .

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
