Summary of Assam Downtown university (ADTU)
Remarks :
I took admission at this college because as I wanted to pursue Radiography and none of the other private universities at this state had this course at that time and I also heard that the faculties for this course at this university is good . So after all the research about this college and course I decided to took admission and also I got 25% discount because of my class 12 marks, so that was helpful for me. The college campus is beautiful. It is situated on a mountain and from the campus the river of Brahmaputra can be seen clearly, it's beautiful. There's greenary everywhere. There's a lot of events going on throughout the year and this university hosts a big event of it's own called ATTITUDE,which is really fun. I did not appear any kind exam or interview for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I did coaching for NEET exam, but I couldn't crack it and I wanted to do in the medical field only and came up with the idea of persuing this course, it was interesting for me. For me the course curriculum is good, but can be better and the faculties are above average not the best. Some of them are really good. Some of them are not quite good in terms of behaviour.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It's 140000 per year and 70000 for per semester. The fees for this course is 460000 and students can get discount if they appear the scholarship exam or based on their 12 board percentage students can get discount
Campus Life :
The campus is really beautiful. The university is located on a mountain by the side of the river Brahmaputra. From the canteen a very scenic view of Brahmaputra can be seen. There's greenary everywhere. The infrastructure is good but again it can be better. There are few canteens and everyone of them is located around beautiful location. There's lot of fun activities in them. There's a big library. Classrooms are digital. In case of sports there's ground for cricket , football, basketball, badminton, there is a swimming pool , a gym and so much more. There are many clubs like acting, singing, dancing, gaming, sports, photography etc. run by the students. There lot of events going on which are really fun. As a whole the campus life is really amazing I'd say.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
