- The water logging problem in rainy days is a big problem in the campus.

Remarks :
Students are selected according to the ranks of CPET exam i. e. Common PG Entrance Test which is conducted throughout the state. Getting admission in Ravenshaw is tough as it's the NAAC A++ university and cut offs are higher than other colleges and universities except Utkal university. The department of psychology offers special paper on clinical psychology which is beneficial for a psychology student. Ravenshaw's campus is beautiful. All the buildings of Ravenshaw university are red in colour. It's 2nd campus is located in mahanadi vihar. Ravenshaw's infrastructure is quite impressive. But there are certain drawbacks of this university. During rainy days, too much water logging problem occurs inside the campus premise
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum:- We have 4 semesters in two years. Each semester has one mid sem and one end sem paper except 4th semester. In the fourth semester, we have mostly project works, case studies and internships. I chose this course because of it's creative and engaging curriculum. We get to do multiple seminars throughout the year. The department is providing clinical internship. That's one of the major reason to choose this university. In our department we have 4 faculties. All of them are NET-JRF qualified and highly experienced in teaching. The time interval between each exam usually 1-2 months (mid sem and end sem) Exams difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
I've recently opted for clinical internship. I am enrolled at KIMS for my internship. In the internship, we'll observe patients with various neurodevelopmental disorders. You have to pay for the internship. The internship is for two months. You'll get to work with Professional psychiatrists in the hospital ward
Placement Experience :
After completion of master's you can apply for lectureship after qualifying UGC NET exam. students can apply for SSB exams for lectureship in the state only. If someone has qualified in NET-JRF then he/she will be given stipend for the Ph. D. In psychology, there are other career options too. Such as school counsellor, therapist, assistant in clinics.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise the fees approximately ?10,000. Students have to pay ?5000 in two years as seminar fund. It's not official but it's compulsory. There are multiple scholarship schemes available for meritorious students as well as students with reservation and lower income background
Campus Life :
Ravenshaw's campus life is much better than what you'd get in other universities. The crowd is really good. Multiple events are being conducted throughout the year. Nua khai bhet ghat is a prime event that is organised every year.

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
