Dislikes
- Sometime hostel foods are not that good.
- In summer the heat is unbearable. But in in evening the campus area is filled with Cool air.
Remarks :
GIET University has a very beautiful campus. It is totally surrounded with nature. It has mountain ranges surrounding the whole area. It has a big library that attracts Many students. It has big campus area. It has 14 hostels. A big mess for students to eat. It has a beautiful swimming area. A big playground. Basketball court, badminton court are also there. It also has a gymnasium. It has free transport services. Every year a grand fest is organised. Students really enjoy their grand fest. The fest best attraction is the DJ nights. Giet really provides best experience. I really love the GIET campus.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Keeping in mind the advancement and increase of popularity in data science branch I choose the CSE data science branch. The course curriculum of giet is really good. We have really good faculties. Many of our faculties are doctorate in their own subjects. In a semester we have two 20 marks class test, two 30 marks cycle test and one 60 marks semester exam. For internals we have viva and practical exam. The difficulty level of the exam is not that tough. If we thoroughly read what we are being thought in classes we can easily crack the exam with good marks. But a little practice is needed for theory subjects like maths, programming, subjects of mechanical engineering, physics.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in a first year and 1st semester I am not opted for any internship. But according to some seniors they have gone for internships. They have many workshops and also seminars which help them in getting good internships and placements.
Placement Experience :
Percentage of students getting placement is good. We have a good placement drive. Eligibility of placement is 7Cgpa onwards. We have good number of students getting the placement. My plans is to getting the degrees to go for campus placement and obtain a good package placement.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee structure for every year is 275000. Fees is paid in two intervals. At the time of admission we have to pay 137500 for 1st semester. For second semester we have to pay another 137500. The fees is the addition of both tution fees and hostel and mess fees.
Campus Life :
Campus life of giet is actually very good. We have a very best campus. Campus is really beautiful surrounding with mountains and greenery. We have 14 hostels and a big mess for eating area. We have annual sports of sports like cricket, basketball, kho kho, badminton, etc. The fest and annual sports are conducted in the month of December. We have a very big library. We have many types of books and journals. All the classroom have projectors and all are protected with CCTV. We have many types of clubs like cyber security, robotics, coding, etc. Our clubs organise many workshops, hands-on training. Aur clubs also organised internal hackathons. Our clubs students also participate in National level hackathons.
Hostel Facilities :
Every year our hostel fees is 84000. All over hostel room for boys are inside the campus only. Hostel food is good. We have different types of menu every day. Weekly 6 days we have non veg. Vegetarian students can go for vegetarian meal 7 days in week. If any student want to rent a room locally or want to go for a PG room they can look for the rooms in the local area. It's also cheap but they have to arrange for food by themselves.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
