- Affordability(my degree only other degrees are expensive)
- Campus( the campus is beautiful and big enough)
Dislikes
- Management( the Management is very slow and ignorant about complaints or any issues faced by the students)
- Faculty (only there just for the sake of it, well educated but don't teach nicely)
Remarks :
No there's no group discussion or interview or written test. It's a first come first serve basis. The main factor that made me take this university is my course fee it was very less compared to other institutes in the area. Also the ROI is not that bad.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I always wanted to do engineering so I took it up. The faculty is well qualified but the teaching and the teaching methods are old school and very slow. You'll need to do your study by your own. The term exams are always on time. The odd semester exam is held in December and the even semester exam in June. The difficulty level is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
No internship is provided from the college for my degree. They provide it to the paramedical and nursing students though the internships are unpaid. They last for about 4 to 6 months. The students from our program need to opt for off campus internships.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria is 6 cgpa. The university doesn't release any official record regarding the placements and packages. The highest package was 22 lpa and the average is 2 lpa. The percentage of students placed through campus placements is around 30 percent.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For me the Admission was 30000. There was an additional fee as Administrative fee of 40000. Plus Security fee of 10000. The per semester fee was 20000. But now the same course fee has inflated. The admission is 40000. The administrative fee is 50000. The security fee is same as 10000 and the semester fee is 50000 per sem.
Campus Life :
The campus is beautiful. The area where it's located is also gorgeous. The main fest is called Attitude and is conducted in February every year. Other events are being conducted from time to time. The library is good and the classrooms are well equipped. Sports club is there and you can play all sorts of games whatever you like. There's a football field and a cricket field. 3 Futsal field. 2 basketball courts. 2 volleyball courts. 1 kho kho ground. indoor stadium for badminton and table tennis. 1 swimming pool. There are various clubs one can join. Music club, Astronomy club, Art Club, Sports Club, Gaming Club, Robotics Club. There's also a gym. For Extracurricular one can join NCC or NSS.
Hostel Facilities :
The food quality is horrible and the menu is even more horrible. The food is blunt and tasteless. The registration process is easy but it's not affordable. The fee is 90000 and additional 10000 as Security fee. Apart from the food the hostel infrastructure is average and facilities are below average.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
