Remarks :

I did B.A. Programme, in which there is combination of two subjects as your main subjects and two additional subjects. You have many options for the combination. I wanted political science+psychology. It was available in only two colleges of DU - Ramanujan College and LSR. I got admission in ramanujan college in the first list so I took Admission there. As far as the process of admission concerned, I got admission during the Covid pandemic, there was no entrance or group discussion or anything. The process of admission was totally online. But when the college opened after lockdown we had verified our documents.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum was well structured I must say.The faculties were all well qualified, PhD holders of course, most of them graduated from JNU or DU itself. Mostly all the teachers took their lectures and completed the relevant topics of the syllabus. I liked most of the teachers especially the psychology ones. They are interactive, helpful and approachable to discuss things both inside and outside courses such as giving advice for future prospects. But exceptions are always there. The exams were held at the end of each semester, apart from that teachers used to take presentations, tests, research papers, assignments for the 20 marks which were in their hands. 5 marks were for attendance which we have to maintain throughout the semester.

Internships Opportunities :

No I didn't opt for any internship during my graduation as I was attending coaching for my exam. But, there are companies like lenskart, zomato, gemini used to provide for internship opportunities with stipend of 20000 - 30000.

Placement Experience :

Honestly I have no idea about placements. I mean I want to prepare for competition exam after graduation so I never paid much attention to that. But we used to get so much companies in our college. There was a dedicated placement cell to look upon placement processes and opportunities for students and many students got placed too.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Back in 2021 there was Covid time and therefore no entrance took place for admissions in DU. I just filled the form for selection and don't clearly remember how much it costs. After approval I pay the fees of Rs. 16000/- for one year for my course. The fees were the same for all three years but during my third year it got increased to 17000/-. Apart from that there were no other registration or caution fees but we have to pay for our exam forms every semester which varies according to courses and subjects. I have to pay Rs.700 rupees in which Rs.200 were for my practical exam of psychology, 400 for my subjects and Rs.100 for exam form. I have no idea if now they have also increased the fees of exam forms but during my time in college it was not increased.

Campus Life :

The fest was used to conduct generally in months of February - March every year for 2 to 3 days. I attended only two fest because in 2021 due to pandemic, so no fest was conducted. I loved the time of the fests, so many inter College competitions, dj nights and an artist performance one night. The library was one of my favourite places. I am a bookworm and I read so many books and spend lots of time between those book shelves searching for books. The collection was really good for both textbooks and other books. There are so many departments and we used to have inter departmental sports events- tug of war, kabaddi, kho kho, cricket, etc. Apart from that there are so many clubs and societies, departmental and others too like fashion, history, photography , environment, debate, and so much more. I was in history society and also headed the editorial department in my final year, I enjoyed it so much. We used to conduct so many events and I attended so many events of other societies also.

Hostel Facilities :

The only drawback is that there was no hostel of college. So at first I opted for a hostel in Kalkaji. The locality was good, clean and all essential shops and food places and market nearby but after some time I don't like the food there and there were no friends of mine there so I switched to a pg in different locality but the food problem didn't solved. Everything was good, it was affordable, good roommates but I never liked the food in Delhi.

Distance learning along with fun.

Placement Experience :

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

DU Experience Packed with Learning, Practical Skills, and Dedicated Student Portfolio

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
