- LSR has a great faculty, good ,aesthetic infrastructure, beautiful green campus and an amazing exposure. It has creative societies and clubs . You get to learn and unlearn , it makes you a strong women , let you build skills and brings out best of yourself.
- It has a very inclusive environment. Every identity and culture is being respected and you get friends for life .
Dislikes
- There is nothing to dislike about this place but if I have to mention the areas where it can improve more then i would say hostel accomodation should be provided to more students and the hostel infrastructure can improve a little more.
- Also it is located in a very segregated place where there are no other colleges arround except one hotel management college. So as compared to the colleges in north campus, here you cannot find a big student community and outside exposure but the college itself gives you a lot of exposure.
Remarks :
When i passed my 12th , i knew that i would pursue my graduation in political science only and lady shri ram college is the best college in all over India for political science according to every ranking out there. And not only for political science but for most of the humanities and commerce subjects. This college brings out the best in your. It has top placements, great faculty, intelligent crowd, amazing exposure and creative minds. I enrolled in year 2020 so that time the selection was on the basis of merit basically your class 12th percentage but now since the NEP has been implemented so common university entrance exam i.e cuet is conducted and through that you can get the admission in this college. There is no other rounds and no interviews. And cutoff mostly is around 700 to 800 for general students of all subjects in average. But for political science it usually is 760 above since this course is in very much demand.
Course Curriculum Overview :
LSR is one the best colleges in India for humanities and commerce subjects but for political science it has been ranked as the best college and i completely agree to that. My interest for this subject made me choose this subject. And LSR gave me opportunity to explore and learn more about political science. It has the best faculty, they are very learned and very supportive. They are very passionate about the subject and they use to give us very creative assignments which help us to improve our skills and knowledge at a very early age . We were assigned to make research papers, conversation papers, reaction papers, presentations, write book reviews and a lot more . Term exams were timely and it was very easy to clear the exams . There were a lot of resources available.
Internships Opportunities :
I did few internships related to my field. I mostly worked in political consultancies like vote bridge India, netri foundation which is a political incubator, and in few NGOs. Though my classmates who sat for placements, they did many internships like content writing, graphic designing, human relations, research, etc in a lot of companies . Most of them were paid. Some of the companies even gave 20k -50 k stipend.
Placement Experience :
LSR offers one of the highest placements in delhi university. The highest placement is 47 lakh and the average is 10-15 lakh . Top companies like google, dshaw, Deloitte, amazon, ipac, etc gives placement to LSR students. All LSR students are eligible to sit for placements and most of them get it . Selection rate is above 70 -80 percent.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
First year it was 15k , then in second year due to Covid they decrease it to 10k and in third year it was 15k. It was very affordable considering the quality of education and brand value of the college.
Campus Life :
Life is amazing in LSR. It has a great exposure that helps you build a very strong personality. There are many societies and clubs in LSR like dramsoc which is the drama society, dancesoc, dhwani (the music society) , enactus, debsoc(debate society) and a lot more. Our fest name is tarang and it usually happens in the month of March or April. It's a three day fest and it is great , very much enjoyable. There is a library and a reference room where you can get almost every book related to your subjects. LSR is very much active extracurricular and sports . The societies and clubs compete to every other top colleges in several competitions and they win a lot of prizes every year.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostels are usually for the first year students and it is very competitive to get into it. Some rankers do get to continue in second and third year but only toppers. Distance and your marks is considered as the criteria for your hostel admissions. And fee is quite affordable as compared to pgs and flats in the area. Infrastructure of hostel is little poor but overall the food and other facilities are good. South delhi is very expensive for living especially the nearby areas of LSR like Greater kailash, national park are quite expensive and pgs are way too costly but still there are some areas where you can get affordable pgs and flats like amar colony, dayanand colony, govindpuri, and some other nearby places. I lived in a 1bhk flat in amar colony which was 14k a month.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
