My personal review of my beautiful darrang college where i have spend 5 valuable years of my life.
Likes
- 1) I love the atmosphere of the college...the college campus is sp good and beautiful and pleasent...
- 2) The faculties here are so helpful and friendly and they help everyone one..the campus life is overall so good .
Dislikes
- I don't dislike anything about the college campus neither the faculty.. it's so good studying here in the college...

I had always dreamt of studing in Darrang college while i was just a kid studying in school ...i have heard so much about the college and my curiosity just become high..our college has a very beautiful surrounding. In our department the faculty held group discussion, group assignment, research program and many more activities. Our faculties take written test eventually...
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our faculties are very open minded and good...they help us in every need of us... I have studied in this college from my higher secondary till date... It's so worth studying in this college as the course I have choosen is the course i wanted to take. I'm very satisfied with it..our academic results are getting better day by day .....
Internships Opportunities :
No i have not opted yet but I'm planning to do it.... We cando internship in various companies and along with it we get good salary and placements... it's so good to study here as we can opt for various internship programs if we wish to....
Placement Experience :
Placement is so good... We get very good placement from our darrang college.... highest average package of placement us 2 lakhs allmost...it is so good to study here as we get high placement chances... minimum percentage of getting placement is 70% ........my plans after this degree is to do Master degree as i want to go for higher studies...
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Our fees structure is 10000 per semester. In a year or i have to oay 20000 as 10000 per semester. . Extra examination fees is 600.... i and my batchmates have to pay same fees ...there is a very good system that the students those who have income certificate can study the course for free..Our college is a good college.I belong from general caste.and everybody has to pay the same fee in the same course except the income certificate students..
Campus Life :
Our college is so beautiful and pleasent... The campus life here is so peaceful...we have big trees around the college and every corner of the college. It's so good to study here in such an atmosphere. We have a very big college library where we can find several books. Extracurricular activities are held in the campus..we enjoy college week .
Hostel Facilities :
I live in my home as this is my own hometown... but my friends live in hostel of our college....and i hear from them that the cook is so good in the hostel premises....they provide high quality of food in hostel. They also mention about the rooms, water facility of the hostel that it is good... hostel is good overall...

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

Placement Experience :
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
