Likes
- I like the big classrooms theres a plenty of space in classrooms. Library is very good i must sat that
- The ground is quite large but they don’t usually let you sit there in free classes you have to be in library
Dislikes
- What i dont like is the canteen which is poor in hygiene and i dont prefer to eat from there .
- Washrooms they are very filthy and stink they dont clean ig .
Remarks :
At my time of admission i got through merit basis in 2022 but now you have to go through cuet process to get into the college . Also the cuet selection process is quite long . After that selected candidates will have to attend a counselling section in which the faculty is introduced and tells you about the various courses provided and provide you with relevant information. The bad aspect i think is the behaviour of our teachers in commerce department they are very hard to deal with. You have to be regular in college like every day and you cant take an unnecessary off . You must submit the application for a day off only for genuine reasons like if you fall sick pr have an appointment with doctor or if someone dies in your family then only you can get a leave .
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because bcom provides you with vast information about commerce . We have a great subject diversity . Qualification of faculty is good but some of them dont have the good teaching skills . Talking about exams for end semester exams you must clear the term exams if you dont clear term exams you dont get to sit in end term exams and to sit in term exams you must have good attendance. Also dont argue with teachers if you do something with them youre going to pay for that. Term exams are conducted every month and final exams after every 4 months of semester completion.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven’t completed my internship yet as i have to find it by myself i have applied for the same in j and k bank . You can apply in any field but the college they provide you with nothing. Like zero placements .
Placement Experience :
You have to go through internship process in 5th semester the college doesn’t provide ghat and you have to find that by yourself which is mandatory as it has credits. No companies come there and offer you placements . My plan after this is to get a mba in a good university
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Islamia college Srinagar doesn’t provide any scholarships. The fee i paid depends on the year but it can not go up from 7000-9000 per year . Apart from this we only have to pay exam fee per semester which can range from 1200-1500 . We dont have any bus facilities. For other streams like Bca the fee can rangle from 15000-2000. For bba around 12000-14000 and for arts the fees is generally low like 5000. Per year . Exam fee is same for all the streams . My friends had applied for a scholarship but they didn’t get any .
Campus Life :
Life is good but you really gotta focus on studies rather than having more of a social life.sports is present. We have events through only nss teams . We dont have any fests at college . Library is filled with vastvariety of books .the infrastructure is good but not that great . The focus of our college is only on studies because our exams are difficult so thats why we dont have much fun events but tech events are present there .
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for any hostel . But college provides hostel fir boys and we have a canteen which provides low quality food to be honest. The hostel is located in the college itself so its a win win for boys who wanted to sray in college hostels .

Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.

Placement Experience :
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro,infuses,bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.

I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Placement and college life at IIT Jammu
Placement Experience :
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.

quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
My University Life In The University of Kashmir.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.

Placement Experience :
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.

Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages.
