- Things That Need Improvement A lot needs to be improved in this course. The curriculum feels outdated and lacks industry relevance. There is little focus on practical learning, and internship opportunities are minimal.
- Very unorganised schedules. No proper timing.
Remarks :
I appear ICAR as an back up for a NEET, and my rank was 4102. I selected IGKV as it was closest to odisha. That time I didn't know they distribute sub campus on basis of rank and like that I got into SGCARS JAGDALPUR.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Sports is very encouraged here. Only a few faculty members are genuinely knowledgeable and helpful, while many lack proper teaching methods. The curriculum is not well-structured and often feels outdated. making it difficult for students to gain industry-relevant skills. Exams are manageable. but the evaluation process is sometimes inconsistent. There is a lack of practical exposure, which affects overall learning.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet I'm still in 1st year, and what I have heard from my seniors is in 4th year they are only given one opportunity of RAVE program in which they implement what they have learnt so far.
Placement Experience :
Placements at our college are quite poor. Very few companies visit for recruitment, and the percentage of students getting placed is very low. The highest package is limited, and the average package is much lower than what is advertised. Internships are not provided by the college, and students have to find them on their own. Core companies rarely come, and most job opportunities are in unrelated fields.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester- 7800, including tution, exam fee Mess fee- 2000 per month As an icar student i get scholarship of 3000/- per month (18000) per semester. But for the local pat examination they get post matric scholarship that only for those with reservation.

The overall college environment is not ideal. Events and fests are very limited. and extracurricular activities are not well-promoted. The campus crowd is not academically inclined. which affects the learning atmosphere. Seniors can be extremely strict and impose unnecessary rules like forcing first-year students to wear a Patiala and apply oil to their hair, which makes the experience even worse. There are no groups, but being someone from another state I've felt a bit of isolation.

Very few food stalls are here that too serving is very overpraised. Only one pg is available but they don't guarantee the security.

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.
