The institute has a got syllabus for its branches and also very good for research programs there are only two branches cse and ece currently the college can be choosed through jee mains for cse the rank for general should be about 19000 and cab get ece till 44000 u can get the college through jossa councelling and csab.the academic culture is pretty good
I had some passion for electronics which made me persure btech in ece and in this college I get to work in projects under faculty skilled in their departments all the facilities has done their PhDs from prestigious colleges like Hindenburg university and IITs their teachingsl methods are good and if u focus in classes u can excell in exams the difficulty level of the exams vary from medium to hard in 1 semester two exams take place mid sem and end sem each take place over a period of 1 week and apart from those quizzes are taken which keeps us track on our studies. The curriculum is great for the subjects exploring every part of them
Students get interships in startups or well established companies like microsoft, amazon, google and Infosys and get stipend according to their goals on an average they get about 35000-40000 per month and u can also get projects under facilities
The job opportunities are decent companies like jp Morgan, accenture, amazon etc comes in campus students get summer internship in their 3rd year in various fields like ml, software development, game development etc the students get their internships in Infosys google microsoft amazon and some people start their own startups about 200 offers were made last year and a highest package of about 80lpa was made and average package of cse being 15-16lpa and for ece 12-13lpa more than 85 percent students get placed .After getting a degree I plan to be in a job for some years gain experience and start my own something
Yes there are many scholarship available but only from government side the fees increase in a couple of years but the increase in not much significant just a couple of thousand (2500) to be precise that increase is not in the tution fees but due to the increase in hostel fees .tution fees per semester is about 125000 there is no extra lab or development fees
There are various clubs in the college like the cultural club contains photography, writing, singing and acting clubs which leds students to explore their hobbies at a higher level. Then there are the tech clubs which includes ai/ml and programming club where the students compete while learn in hackathons and other coding competitions These are 2 fest in the college a cultural fest 'Yuvaan' taking place in month of March and a technical fest 'entropy' taking place in October. The course books and other educational materials are available in the library. There is also a sports club which organise both indoor and outdoor games tornament to build mental and physical side of students the games include badminton, volleyball, cricket, football, chess, table tennis etc there is also a gym in the college for students to workout
Yes I opted for hostel while registering for the college u get a hostel room allotted automatically the hostel infrastructure is good there is no solo room. Each room will have 2 people in it.The room is spacious enough and attached washrooms with shower and u get separate cupboards and a table and desk there are two mess for boys and same for girls to deal with crowd the hostel and mess both are affordable and the mess food is like every mess food u get chicken 2 days a week and 3 days egg .
Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .
While the college does not guarantee 100% corporate placement, it facilitates campus interviews and internships. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Tata have rec recruited or offered internships to a percentage of students.
There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.
There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA
The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low. That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled. And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.
I forever had a dream of starting a business by myself as I come from a business background I also wanted to help my father in his work , I wanted to grow my father's business by just putting technical efforts so this is the reason I chooses commerce Teachers are of very friendly nature and helpful If you attend regular college you won't face any difficulties in exams
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.
You must get more than 7 CGPA to sit in the placement. TCS, L&T, Jacobs etc and the highest package is around 21 LPA around 15% are placed every year.Iwill be doing PHd in IIT after getting my degree.
I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
