- Sports facilities here are straight-up bad, especially not having a Basketball Court

Remarks :
I chose this college because I can't get any better college in CSAB Counselling. At first, leaving home 2000km behind felt depressing, but college life here is good. There are some advantages of a small college too like you can reach class in 2 minutes and you know everyone in your college. Admissions.., JOSAA or CSAB, get admission date, travel to Guwahati, do online registration (can also be done from home), show documents, get hostel keys and done.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The courses offered here are good, like being a tech-only college subjects taught here are only tech ones + optional humanities and science one subject every semester. They provide practical knowledge here. Qualification of Teachers: haven't seen a teacher not holding a PhD. Some teachers are good, some are bad like really bad. You can manage in most but in some subjects, you have to study from online resources. Exams happen in the following order Quiz 1, Mid Sem, Quiz 2, End Sem and because of relative grading only, it's pretty manageable. The cost of studying here is slightly high, like it's higher than NITs but they do not provide facilities like NITs. If you are looking for financial aid, search for external scholarships, like central government state government or private companies as they do not provide any.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done an internship yet as my first year has just been completed but there are internship opportunities available for third-year folks, and many companies visit to recruit students. Students can do projects with faculties too.
Placement Experience :
Placements are good only if you work hard and do not slack off. Companies do visit the campus and students get placed through hackathons too. The highest package here is above 1 Cr, average is about 1500000. Some students who hadn't worked as hard remain unplaced.
Campus Life :
Campus life is pretty hectic they provide no holidays on festivals and if they do for some major festivals they manage them by taking classes on Saturday. Be ready for lots of extra classes. Here, all basic clubs are present, programming, dance, drama, sports, welfare, movies, etc. But the Robotics Club here is good, they organize such good events, you miss so much if you didn't take part in them. There are two major events, one in October named "Entropy", a techno-management fest and one in March named "Yuvaan", our cultural fest which feels better. And, you can also visit IIT Guwahati for their fests too. Sports facilities are limited to Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Carrom and Chess. It sucks that there is no Basketball Court. There is a basic gym too. Hostels for freshers are nice and spacious, for the rest they feel small at first but they are perfect for two. Mess food is bad, which means you can eat that but prefer not to.

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
