Likes
- The campus location is really awesome and cannot be any good
- The infrastrucure of upes is really good. And some of the faculty are really awesome.
- The crowd here is diversed and people from all over country come.
Dislikes
- The fees is very high and it should be taken into count before taking admission
- The campus is located far away from city. Making the travel to railway station or bus station difficult.
Remarks :
My cousin completed his btech in aerospace engineering in 2017 and he was placed in good company with ctc of 6-10 lakh per annum. I got my admission in upes by giving their admission cum scholarship exam Upeseat.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had interset in the field of computers and coding so i opted btech in computer science and engineering. The faculty in upes have phd in their respective course speciality. There are mid sem and end sem for each semester and the difficulty is moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
I actually completed my intership in summer 2024 june to july in ibm phemesoft it was a remote internship. The internship opportunity was provided by the college itself where i got knowledge of software companies.
Placement Experience :
Upes provides quality placements in top companies like microsoft, wipro, accenture, tcs, cognizant,etc. Most companies have criteria of 7 cgpa and above so make sure to maintain your cgpa. Also non credited people are not eligible.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
There is 250000 tution fees and 2 lakh other academic fees per year. There is also scholarship for girls 20% and for uttrakhand students there is 33% fee wavier on tution fees. There is roughly 17-18 fees for 4 year btech fees.
Campus Life :
The campus is located near the foot of mussoriee so the view is actually very good. The infrasture of upes is also top notch. There are 2-3 yearly fest of upes where famous artist performs like recently darshan rawal came.
Hostel Facilities :
I actually live in pg but for students can opt for living in campus hostel. They can apply for the same on upes portal. The campus hostel has fees of 180000 per year. With basic facilities including mess, common room, playing area, etc.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
