Remarks :
If I tell honestly without any makeup then that I don't want to come here for btech course ,the only thing that help me to me here is the Google. I searched best gfti then the 1st name appears is the assam university.. Good--- bus service Lot of time u get for extra work Less fees Bad --- developing infrastructure --- food Admission process: I got here by giving jee mains through josaa 6 round . The cutoff for home state Is very large around 3 lakh and for other it is about 2 lakh. I have given jee mains and got selected for this university.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Because I like the course of electronics and the coming Era is more fruitful for the ece branches students because many semiconductor industries are growing and many more are getting set up. Qualifications of teachers are obviously good because they are central university professors . They teach well if u study well. Exams were taken at intervals like internals and end sem 3 internal are taken after the chapter completion and end sem at every 6 months. Difficulty level is good.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not internship yet because I am 2 ND year student and I am trying to get by the start of 3rd year .but u can get internships also because many seniors have cracked it in companies like Tata also.
Placement Experience :
Good ???? but not much. For placement u don't have any back papers and u have to crash internships by your own . Many students get placed also by off campus by their hard work . Companies come but in limited amount.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees u have to pay is around 55000 per year in the month of October to November that includes all the charges like bus charge medical charge and many more.The best part of this college is that it provide good services even to the 20 -25 km apart from the university. If we talk about scholarship funds it gives to those students whose family income is up to 1 lakh per annum.the amount they pay is about 4000. It does not provide fees relaxation in categories certificate . If we talk about infrastructure it will be good but I personally don't give much preference to this college. The best thing that I praise is the facility of bus they provide but now the infrastructure and many more things are growing day by day. U got much of time during the course to prevail any other activities or for your work whatever you want to.
Campus Life :
Social life is also good and engaging. Tech fest takes place in the month of March or the time chosen by students according to their comfortability. Library is good many books and journals are available. Basketball court , cricket ???? ground all available. The tournament takes place at regular intervals and best for interested students.
Hostel Facilities :
Food is like all hostels but much good but ok. U can get hostel by applying when form comes and by process of guest by talking to warden if seats are available and then becomes permanent. The fees of hostel is very less .

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
