No i didn't face any written test, group discussion or interview. It's direct admission process I choose this college because of their past placements results that was good but now it's not good as well
I chose Computer Science Engineering (CSE) because of my interest in technology, problem-solving, and programming. The course offers a strong foundation in software development, cybersecurity, AI, and data science, which are high-demand fields in today's job market. The faculty members are highly qualified, with most of them holding M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees in their respective fields. They use interactive teaching methods, including live coding sessions, real-world case studies, and project-based learning The term exams are conducted on time as per the academic schedule. The difficulty level varies—some subjects have moderate-level papers, while subjects like Data Structures, Algorithms, and DBMS can be challenging. The internal assessments and mid-sem exams help in better preparation for the finals.
The college provides internships through its training and placement cell. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and IBM offer internships in web development, cybersecurity, AI, and data analytics The stipend will be 10 to 15k
The placement rate is good, with top recruiters like Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, TCS, and Capgemini visiting the campus. Eligibility for Placement: Minimum 6.0 CGPA, no active backlogs. Highest Package: ?31 LPA (by Amazon). Average Package: ?3-5 lpa Percentage of Students Placed: Around 30 to 50 %
That time when I joined fee was 45000 per semester but now it's increases to 60 to 70k per semester There are some scholarships for punjab students and then there fee will be reduced to 20k And the students of SC st have also scholarships by govt.. but not directly by college
Life at CGC Landran is vibrant and engaging. The campus has modern infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, a central library, sports facilities, and an auditorium. There are various student clubs like the Coding Club, Robotics Club, and Entrepreneurship Cell, which help in extracurricular learning. The annual tech and cultural fest at CGC Landran is "Parivartan", conducted every March. Other events like hackathons, technical workshops, and industry expert talks happen throughout the year. The library has an excellent collection of books, journals The college promotes sports like cricket, football, chess, and athletics. As a national chess player, I appreciate the support for sports enthusiasts.
The hostel infrastructure is decent, with WiFi, common study areas, and a gym. The mess food quality is average—it is hygienic but lacks variety. The menu includes North and South Indian dishes, but it can be improved in terms of taste and variety Registration is simple and at the time of admission you can proceed
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
