The factors that made me choose JMC were its renowed faculty in the field of psychology, its infrastructure, its rich alumni network, the placements offered by the college and the clubs/societies present. However, I am slightly dissatisfied with the strict attendance policy and mismanagement of events in the college. The admission process was relatively simple. One only has to appear for CUET UG examination through which they are eligible to apply for JMC. The cut off for Psychology Honours this year was 776. Apart from this, students from the Christian Quota have to also give a Personal Interview. The preparation of CUET can be done through online resources, books like Arihant, Oswaal and NCERT. One can also join institutions like Pratham Test Prep that help in preparing for such entrance exams.
I chose Psychology Honours because I have always been deeply fascinated by the subject and want to pursue this further by discovering its interconnectedness with the field of Business and Commerce. The faculty at JMC is top-notch, to say the least. They are highly qualified professors who are deeply knowledgeable regarding their specific courses and have particular ways of aporoaching topics that facilitate comprehensiveness. The end term exams were conducted according to the Delhi University guidelines and Time-Table. The difficulty level for most of the courses was easy to moderate. There are however, a few papers that are quite difficult to score in (for example: statistics). Apart from them, it is easy for one to score well if they prepare themselves thoroughly in advance.
The Placement Cell has a wide network and offers on campus placement to students. One can also look for internships through participation and networking in societies. The Placement Cell allows 2nd and 3rd year students to participate and assume positions in the society.
I am currently paying 22130 ruppees per year. The registration fee is the usual fee one needs to pay whilst registering for CUET - that is the entrance examination. Certain prizes, awards and scholarships are provided to students who perform exceptionally during the course of their academic year. Moroever, scholarships that are usually provided to students under the prescribed guidelines of Delhi University are also available. There is also a merit cum need scholarship whose details are available at the official website of JMC. There are also several scholarships for Christian Students and for wards of staff.
The annual College fest, Montage, is usually conducted in February-March. The dates for Montage'25 were 20th and 21st March 2025. There are a lot ot extra curricular acticities present for students to partake in. We have a well equipped sports team with coaches and teams for sports like football, basketball and volleyball. Apart from that, societies like Enactus and 180DC are also present which help students develop holistically. We also have our own MUN society, debate society, HR society, E Cell, TEDx society, classical dance, western dance, classical music, western music, stage theatre and street theatre societies that are run by students themselves. The infrastructure of the college supports the same by providing students with books, journals, access to computers and LED boards in classrooms.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
