A Campus life at SVC
Likes
- I like my college, infrastructure is great, faculty is campus life is also awesome. The crowd is really great.
- The sports facilities are also nice. Every sports facilities and faculty are damn awesome. College promotes sports activities and extra curricular activities and participates in every program, events.
Dislikes
- I dislike about the college is the only one thing is the drainage system at the main gate.
- The drainage system at the main gate of the college is very bad smells. The sewage water is situated in the roads and this is the disappointment of this college.
Remarks :
I choose venky because in this college the cricket facilities are awesome and I want make career in cricket that's why I select venky and it is my dream college and first preference that's why I select venky. The faculty in college is very good and the canteen food are delicious. Overall college is awesome for me. The admissions in this college by giving CUET and give your best and make preference according to your dream college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course is B.A.(Hons.) Sociology is a good course and the teachers are very kind and awesome, some of them are frank. I choose this course because sociology is my favourite subject and I want to know more about the societies. And this subject deals with deeper understanding of the societies. And the department of sociology is the best department in the whole college. The faculty of this course are very great, highly educated teacher in this faculty and there teaching method is awesome and I love their teaching method. The semester exams will be conducted in every six months of the year and the level of the exam is moderate and sometimes easy because most of the previous year questions are repeated. So the difficulty level of the semester exams is easy to moderate.
Internships Opportunities :
No I didn't opted for any internship. No I didn't opted for any internship now because I came in college in previous year that's why I don't know about any internship in our college/campus. But I assure that I find internship opportunities in my college.
Placement Experience :
SVC offers good placement opportunities with several reputed companies visiting the campus for recruitment, including Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, DE Shaw, Accenture, and Bajaj Capital; a significant percentage of students secure placements with an average package ranging from 4-8 LPA and a highest package reaching up to 21.5 LPA; eligibility for placements typically requires a good academic record and strong performance in aptitude tests and interviews; if not placed through campus placements, students can actively seek off-campus opportunities, pursue further studies, or leverage their gained skills for freelance work or internships to enhance employability.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees of my course is ?19875 including everything. The registration fees is in the CUET registration fees which is ?1500. The B.A. courses in my college fees under ?20000. The quota fees are also same for every student. My batchmates fees are same which is ?19785.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is very awesome. The fest name of our college is nexus and it is organising on this march. The date of the fest is 3,4 and 5 march. Our college fest is famous in DU colleges and it is the very prestigious fest. In previous year in our college mohit chauhan was performed in the college. The crowd at the fest is very large. Every books are easily available at the library. Liberary are also a good place of studying silently and our college liberary is every time full. The classrooms in the college is also awesome. The whole college is made for sports and extracurricular activities which are very great. Many societies has been in our college which named as: Alaap (Hindi Music Society) Crescendo (English music society) Anubhuti (Hindi dramatics society) Verve (English debating society) Leonci art (Art society) Effulgence (photography and filmography society) And many more societies are run by students themselves.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel in SVC are well-maintained mess with a varied menu, including vegetarian options, served in a dedicated dining hall; basic yet functional room infrastructure with shared bathrooms; and a simple application process through the college website, where you'll need to submit necessary documents. The mess provides a balanced vegetarian menu with a mix of North Indian and South Indian dishes, including daily options like dal, vegetables, roti, rice, and occasional snacks. The menu variety is rotated regularly to ensure a diverse selection throughout the week. Application Process for Hostel Rooms: Online Application: Submit an online application form available on the SVC website during the designated admission period. Required Documents: Academic transcripts, identity proof, passport-sized photographs, and a medical certificate. Allocation: Rooms are allocated based on availability and merit. The locality of hostel is situated in the college.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
