I love my college
Likes
- The college infrastructure is too good, we have three buildings, and the college is very big, every facility is available such as cafe, canteen, water cooler everywhere, clean and hygienic washrooms, sanitary pad vending machines etc.
- The sports infrastructure is also very good, you can join any sports according to your interest and talent. Gargi college have a big cricket ground and practice nets, skilled coaches for every sport except badminton. You can play basketball, Lawn Tennis , volleyball etc.
Dislikes
- I'm a badminton player and this college doesn't have any badminton court, neither any badminton coach, so that was very disappointing for me.
- Secondly the crowd is very fancy and typical South delhi girls, if you are someone who doesn't like to show off, you will get some inferiority complex after coming here, the thing liked is the faculty, and flexibility of the system. The system and management is student friendly, and like all my teachers and their teaching style, I love that, they are awesome.
Remarks :
You can get any college of delhi university through CUET exam conducted by NTA, you will get college on merit basis. This is a South campus college, so the cut off of is generally high of demanding courses like BA political science honours, b. Com Honor's etc.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this college because it's a women's government college which offers course of my choice with a minimal fee. All the faculties are of PG and PHD level , and highly educated in their field. End sem exams are conducted after the end of the every semester.
Internships Opportunities :
Nope, I'm a first year student so I didn't applied for any paid internship, but I did an unpaid internship in an ngo by the college. Anybody can join internships through the placement cell, depends upon the student as there are both paid and unpaid internships available, as you will get the experience too in return.
Placement Experience :
Gargi college has an active placement cell, everyday you will get internship forms on your college group, you can directly reach our through those forms, otherwise there's an annual internship fair by the college, you can participate in those fairs for internship and for last year student, they can register for placement fair for them. Average annual package by gargi college is 5LPA and highest is 25 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It's a government college so the fees is very minimal, gargi colleg's annual fee of 2 semesters is just 17000,while during exam of every semester you have to submit a minimal exam fee of 1300 to 1600 .
Campus Life :
My experience of college life is not that much interesting as it's a girls college so I don't enjoy much here. The crowd is very fancy and rich. Gargi conduct its annual fest in the month of February named as (REVERIE) , which is full of fun, I don't enjoy my college but I enjoy these fests so much. Our college has a very big library, u can get any book of your choice. There are so many societies of every entertainment feilds, you can join after giving audition . We have a very big cricket ground, basketball court, lawn Tennis, and athletics team.
Hostel Facilities :
This college don't have hostel facilities, so you have to opt for some pg Or flat, the average rent of double sharing pg near college is 13000 including mess. And flats for single room is around 17000.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
