- I like that the environment of gargi is very safe and fellow students make you feel comfortable easily. Also the campus has a lot of greenery which is very relaxing.
- In gargi societies hold various activities which are fun, exciting and are great to overcome insecurities. The faculty is also highly qualified and professors are great at what they teach. Also the mess, mother dairy and Nescafe are great hangout places and provide good food.
Dislikes
- There are some cons at gargi college. Some teachers do not know how to handle students and kind of makes it stressful. However they are great in teaching. At first the environment was very overwhelming but with time, with the help of fellow students it becomes a great experience.
- Gargi college does not provide hostel which is a problem for students who come from other states. Now students have to deal with pgs and hunting for a good pg is a hassle. Also students travel for 1 to 2 hr one way which is really tiring after a hectic day.
Remarks :
I wanted to get admission in this college as it helps immensely in personality development. I could have done my course from any other college, it would have been the same degree but gargi college provides extracurricular activities, various societies, great facilities which help in personality development, which later in life comes in great help. There are some cons to gargi also, as it is a girls college, no matter how wonderful that is to be in a girls college, the outside world has more than one gender which one tends to get unfamiliar with as they spend the whole day with the same sex. Apart from that if a person comes from small town then at first they will get overwhelmed which is inevitable however the people especially fellow classmates make you feel comfortable in no time. Also there is no hostel which poses lots of problems. I got admission in gargi through CUET entrance exam. All colleges under Delhi University take admission on the basis of CUET scores only.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose BA english hons as I was always fond of literature and wanted to study it more. Also this course is given importance in MNCs especially after MBA. The faculty of gargi is highly qualified. Almost every professor has doctorate and they provide with plethora of knowledge. Teachers mostly teach in english but if you can't understand it they will explain in Hindi also. However some teachers do not handle students in a very mature way which kind of becomes a problem but it can be dealt with. My semester 1 was of 4 months from sept to jan. And now I have exam in June and my semester 1 started from Feb. The exams are of moderate level. If you have read your books once and done pyqs you can pass the exams.
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted for internship till now but the placement cell provides with variety of fields to work in. companies like KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC, Accenture, Evalueserve, Wipro, and The D.E Shaw Group frequently visit Gargi College for internships with stipends, offering roles in areas like marketing, finance, accounting, data analysis, consulting, and research, depending on the student's stream and company needs; with the Placement Cell actively facilitating these opportunities.
Placement Experience :
To be eligible for placements at Gargi College, students generally need to have a minimum required CGPA (usually above 7), be enrolled in a regular undergraduate program, and have a good academic record throughout their course. some of the top recruiters visiting Gargi College include EY, Deloitte, KPMG, Accenture, Wipro, PwC, DE Shaw & Co, Genpact, American Express, and Evalueserve, with a significant number of placement. Average pakage is 5LPA and highest package is 23LPA. Around 50 to 70 percent students get placed in gargi. However most of the students go for masters after graduation. My plan after graduation is to do MBA then job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
I am student studying BA english hons, of which the fees is 18 thousand yearly. Gargi college provides scholarships on regard of merit. It gives awards and scholarships on annual day to the students who did great In accademics. I have completed my semester 1 and apart from course fees you also have to give exam fees while registering for exams, it also depends on course but comes under 1500. Gargi College Award for Excellence, a cash prize given to a select few students Best All Rounder Award, given to a final year undergraduate student in the best all-rounder category
Campus Life :
In gargi college fests and activities take place all over the year. Societies conduct different extracurricular activities every week. Gargi conducts Reverie in February and it is considered to be one of the top fests.Also there are activities and fests for festival, like there's fest for navratri, diwali,makar Sankranti etc Gargi has a library which provides access to vast variety of genres. Also you can find Books in hindi, english and many more languages. Also library provides with laptops to do your work at college. Classrooms at gargi vary from department to department. The science department has the best classrooms and Arts department class are not of same standards, however there has been a new building built with great architecture and amenities. Every society has their own instagram account like kshitij_gargi. At campus there is basketball ground and there are equipments for badminton and volleyball which are easily accessible and there is tennis court as well.
Hostel Facilities :
Gargi college does not provide with the hostel facility. However the locality has lots of pgs many of which are on walking distance. These pgs provide lots of facilities depending on price. The rent varies from 10 thousand to 30 thousand a month depending from pg to pg and how close it is to the college. Gargi college however provides with mess, mother dairy and Nescafe. These are really great when the schedule is tight and need to have a snack or just for fun. The message provides with variety of food and it is considerably good. Also mother dairy fulfill your milk requirements and vitamins. Nescafe is great for coffee lovers.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
