Pros and Cons for studying at Chandigarh University

- I like infrastructure more in my entire college life, the campus is amazing and have a great environment
- Faculty is also good but some teachers I will say are not that good in teaching they just want to put pressure on self studying.
Dislikes
- Management is the first thing I dislike about our college.
- Many government holidays are not given by our college which is the second and last thing I dislike.
Remarks :
I actually discovered this college in ads and through my freinds. I took admission in 2021 and there is only one exam for scholarship before taking admission. As such there is no cut off anyone can take admission in multiple courses provided. CUCET exam is the one and only exam for scholarship and before admission exam which is mandatory to give.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose CSE which is the best course nowadays. Placements are provided by our college. They had a high percentage of placement record. A lot of companies every year in our college . Students also get placed in 3rd year. Girls of our college gets more benefit in placement as they get a high package and gets good companies .
Internships Opportunities :
I have not opted in any internship yet but soon I will and share my views on this topic. I have worked on projects which is college placements prediction where we categorise students according to their qualifications whether they will get placed or not.
Placement Experience :
For placements a student should have 0 backlogs and a good CGPA. Also it depends on companies criteria whether they want interns for 6+ or 7+ CGPA but not less than 6 CGPA. According to me around 90% of the placement batch gets opportunity to sit in the company placements.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
In starting while taking admission you have to give a CUCET exam where according to your marks you will get scholarship percentage. My course begins in 2021 and I scored a scholarship of 50%. Also a student scoring 90+ in 12th boards gets a scholarship of 50% without exam. Every semester you have to pay 2500 examination fees also.
Campus Life :
Campus of our college is attractive and huge. Our campus is covered in around 250 acres and a lot of new buildings of different courses is in making. The way our college represents in ads is more beautiful than that. A student can enjoy a lot in campus, there is a lot of area in campus to visit and canteen’s to eat. Also our college has sports complex where students practise different sports. There are a lot opportunities in sports and extra curriculum activities. Also in our college a lot of singers and film ??? visit in every Fest.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms are good and clean, you have options of room seating like 3,4 or 5 seater rooms are provided. But I have only seen 4 and 5 seater rooms. Food is not that good but sometimes they give desert in dinner which is tasty. In third year I left hostel and I started living at a rent place which costs me much so I will advice you to stay in hostel if you can.

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
