No GD or interviews for admission. Only JEE mains rank with JAC counselling. College life is very good. DTU gives a very good exposure in all fields not just limited to engineering to all students. A lot of societies, events and hacakthons are happening all the time throughout the year. Cutoffs are realised by JEE after the exam. Past year cutoffs can be of a great help to determine approximate branch and college you can get. College Pravesh is good for that.
Software Engineering branch is very easy going. Professors are very helpful. Currisulum is quite new as being a new branch. Software has usually the highest package holder too. Exams are quite easy but in th end it all is relative marking of grades. So, that is a barrier sometimes. But, it can be overmone easily.
A lot of internship opportunities are given from placement cell. But, there is also DTU startup incubator. You can have a great learning experience to work with potential startups in a high pace environment too
Placement are very good here. A lot of top companies hire from here. Namely companies like, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon, Qualcomm ,etc. A lot of high paying packages even for domestic hire, some companies pay around 80+ LPA.

Campus life is super lively—there’s always something happening, from fests to club events. The library’s great, sports facilities are top-notch, and there are tons of societies to join (I even started a cinematography one!, it's called Reflect DTU, very good club, must join!). Big fests like Yuvaan (October), Engifest (February), E-Summit(January) and Invictus (February) keep the energy high. Classrooms are well-equipped, and student-run clubs and online groups make it easy to stay connected. There is a free gym too.

So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
