- The always developing infrastructure and the corresponding construction activities.
- Lack of proper communication from and to the campus.
Remarks :
The good aspects of my college is the vibrant and green campus, the quality of teaching imparted upon by the highly educated professors, the hostel and its rooms, the mess food, the labs and all other such things. The only thing that is bad about this college is that it is still in its development stage and the infrastructure is not complete. Apart from this, rest everything is good.The admission was done entirely on the basis of JEE Advanced Rank and it was very smooth and hassle free.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The quality of teaching is at par with other international institutes. We have dedicated smart classrooms for lectures and tutorials(doubt clearing sessions) in lecture hall complexes apart from labs equipped with state of the art labs. The course curriculum is aligned with other IITs. However there is a limited availability in the optional subjects that one can take apart from the compulsory courses. The exams are conducted timely and very strictly and there is never a scope for any kind of malpractices in it. However, many other lecture halls are still under construction which are set to be completed in the upcoming few years.
Internships Opportunities :
While I have not opted for any internship as of now, many students grab internship offers towards the end of their second year and many others go for it in their third year as well.The placement usually begins towards the end of the third semester and continues for about a few months in different phases.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for most placement and internship opportunities is that there should be no back logs and the student must have a decent CGPA (preferably above 8.5).The placement rate stands between 80% to 85% with a slight variation between branches. The highest package offered till date is 64lpa while the average package is about 15lpa to 20lpa,which again varies between branches. There is ample scope for entrepreneurship after graduation and many students do opt for this as well, with some going for higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The tuition fees for B-Tech program per semester is about Rs 1,18,900 for the general category and OBC students while it is about Rs 52333 for those with annual family income of less than Rs 5,00,000.The tuition fees for SC,ST and those with annual family income less than Rs 1,00,000 is about Rs 18,900.The mess fees are Rs 18,000 per semester for all the students. Apart from these, there are no other fees associated with the B-Tech program. The fees don't change much every year.
Campus Life :
Pravaah-The annual fest of IIT Bhubaneswar is conducted in the Spring Semester where students from various institutes come together to enjoy and take a break from the academia. The library is well equipped with books, journals and thesis from various fields-starting from science, technology, humanities, arts, literature, etc. There are separate reading rooms and discussion rooms for students to study without being disturbed. There are a lot of extra curricular activities like societies and clubs run by students sharing common interests like music, dance, arts, finance, coding, football, cricket, etc.to suit the diverse hobbies and interests of students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels of IIT Bhubaneswar are nothing less than any premium hotels. Everyone gets a sufficiently large sized room of single occupancy with a balcony with a standardized fan,bed,study table,chair,cupboard and tubelight.The mess is also decent if not the best,serving food from different Indian cuisines.The quality of food is also above average.In each floor of the hostels, we have many shared bathroom,water purifiers and wahing machines installed for the use by the hostel residents. All hostels are located within the campus of IIT BBS and one can make use of cycles or bus to commute within the campus.

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

Placement Experience :
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
