Likes
- There is a lot of freedom for hostelites in campus. Hostelites can roam at night inside the campus without restrictions for studying purposes.
- The college life and seniors are really good in helping the overall growth of the juniors.
Dislikes
- The college infrastructure is really not upto date. It requires renovations.
- The campus size is really small as it is at the centre of city.
Remarks :
VJTI has a really good student culture, there is no issues with the seniors as they are all really friendly. The placements are top notch, as even my branch has an average placement of 13 lpa with 97% placement rate. My college is 137 years old and thus has a really good alumini background. It is said that during the foundation of IIT Bombay and Madras, lecturers from VJTI were called for teaching.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is a little outdated but is fairly educative. The faculties vary as some are really good while some are barely able to connect with students. Since Vjti is autonomous, it becomes really easy to review your papers and connect with the teachers when it comes to endsem examination.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any internship as I am still in the first year of college but the college does provide internships in the 6th semester. These internship are really helpful in expanding your Network before getting a job.
Placement Experience :
Vjti has a strong alumini network. Thus, it also has a strong Training and Placement Office. Vjti has good placement average with my branch(electronics) having 96% placement last year with average package of 13 lakh. While the college average is 13.5 lpa, the maximum package was 64 lakh last year.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The college fees differ as per the category of the students. As a General EWS candidate the college tution fees are halved for me i.e. in tution fees I am paying 7500Rs. The other fees are included in the total fees namely development fees, exam fees and other fees. Various scholarships are available through the Mahadbt site of government for accomodation and other as per different categories.
Campus Life :
The campus is a little small as it is situated in the centre of Mumbai. As the college is really old, so is it's infrastructure. But renovations have begun in the last 5 months, so the college may retain its freshness soon. There are several clubs and committee in Vjti namely Technovanza, Pratibimba, Rangavardhan, Vishwa, E Cell, Enthusia and SRA which each have different motives of operation. The seniors are really friendly and cooperative.
Hostel Facilities :
For Boys, there are three hostels namely C,D and PG hostel. The C and D block are really old but the PG block has recently been built, it has the best infrastructure throughout the campus. The Mess food is fairly good but students do get bored because of the repetitive taste. The C block is for first year students only. After getting admitted in the institute, you have to apply for hostel. If only you meet certain criteria, the hostel is alloted to you.

Placement Offers were Good on Records till now Collage has its own Placement Department. The Placement Department is operated by professionals. It aims at providing placement to students in reputed companies with handsome packages around 80% placement was done in our batch. All the students got chance to prove themselves in campus placements. Companies like Amazon, TCS, IBM, Make my trip, Amazon, flipkart, Infosys, HDFC, ICICI etc. visit the campus offers an average package ranges 3 - 4.5 LPA going on to Highest was 28 - 45 LPA Companies conduct interview sessions, GD, test for selection of students.

Placement was Good as there is a placement cell in the college that looks on managing placement for students by inviting Companies from different sectors Companies like Amazon Deloitte, Accenture, Reliance, HCL, Hyundai, HDFC bank, YES Bank, Axis bank etc. These companies make a number of offers to students offers an average package ranges 3 LPA and highest was 28 - 32 LPA. Companies conduct interview sessions, practical test, GD for selection of students and students needs to qualify all rounds to get selected also Internship opportunities was provided by college to give students practical experience and to give knowledge. Internship was also provided by college to give students practical experience and knowledge about current changing environment.

Course Curriculum Overview :
i chose computer engineering because i was interested in the technical field and wanted to build my career in engineering. the faculty were qualified and helpful, and their teaching was a mix of thoery ,ppts and practical. term exams were conducted on time and the difficulty was moderate

Placement Experience :
Placement opportunities are not so widely discussed by our faculty. My plan after the program is to appear for ugc net exam and to become an assistant professor. The minimum salary for assistance professor post is approx 35000.

The placements & job opportunities in the campus placements is good in our college like honestly it is good and also it is reason for students to take admission because there are many company coming to college. The average package is around i will say is 4.5lpa of all branches and here ENTC and MECHANICAL branch have more than 96% placement rate The highest package is of 22lpa which was from CS. The ground reality the percentage of students placed from this college is around 70% like the core branches students have higher placement rates and technincal branches placement rate is of around 70%-80% the core branches students also gets placed in tech. The main recruiters are TCS,ESDS,WIPRO,TECH MAHINDRA,INFOSYS,L&T and more. NVIDIA was also there but last year they banned the college because some students cheated in online interview.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
Reality of niat
Placement Experience :
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.

The number of companies coming for campus placements go down with each passing year. The companies that do come (TresVista mostly) are quite poor in terms of work ethic and payout methods. This year, around 40-45 students from the graduating batch got campus placement out of the 110-120 that applied.

Psychology as a field is highly recognized and growing sector after the lockdown,people are more focused on mental health,thus bhavans was the best option as they have Psychology department set for almost 20years which makes them more experienced. The teaching method of Dr.kranti Gawali the hod is excellent.
