- campus and infrastructure: iit bhubaneswar has green, well maintained campus with modern hostels, labs, sports facility
- faculty and campus life: the faculty members are experienced and helpful and campus life is lively with active student clubs
Dislikes
- remote location: the college is located in outskirts of city, which make access to market, malls and basic facility difficult
- placement opportunity: while improving, core branches placement are still limited compared to older iits
Remarks :
i choose iit bhubaneswar due to its iit status, good academics, campus life. admission was through jee advance no gd or interview. preparation involve mock test and high level based question. the campus is growing with great faculty, clubs, good infrastructure but its remote location is a drawback
Course Curriculum Overview :
i choose this course for its strong career scope and problem solving focus. the curriculum is balanced with theory and practicals. most faculty have phds and teach through interactive lectures. exams are held on time and are moderately difficult, testing conceptual understanding.
Internships Opportunities :
no i havent still opted for internship but college offer roles through companies like drdo, isro and startups with stipends ranging from rs 10k-35k. roles include research, software, and core engineering. i worked on a project involving data analysis.
Placement Experience :
placement at iit bhubaneswar are strong with 85% placements in 2024. cse has highest placement at 92.4% with highest offering of 64 lpa and with an average of 18 lpa. recruiters include google, microsoft, amazon etc. eligibity requires academic criteria and registration with career cell.. i plan to work in tech after graduation
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
yearly fees varies. for general and obc students tution fees are 2lakhs per year but for sc/st and pwd students tution fees are completely waived there are also other charges than tution fees like hostel charges mess charges,1 time admission fees etc. sc/st and pwd students only pay nominal charges mention above. there is no hike in fees from 2021 but there can be if change in policy.also if your family income is less than 1 lakhs you get full fees waiver and below 4 lakhs you getg 2/3 fee waiver
Campus Life :
life at iit bhubaneswar is vibrant with active participation in clubs for dance, music, drama, coding and more. major events include alma fiesta, wissenaire, e-summit. the library is well stocked with books, journal. classrooms are equipped with projectors and audio system. sports facility include cricket, hockey, badminton and a gym
Hostel Facilities :
first of all hostel rooms look like mini hotel room with a window, a balcony, a cupboard and a table chair. you 2 washrooms and 1 washing machines on each floor. mess food is above average it can be great sometime and can be bad also. you have to pay 18000 as hostel and mess charges per semester. also hostel is so spacious that you can play cricket

After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement

There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.

for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.

Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.

Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .

Placement Experience :
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.

Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
