- The college is a women's college so it feels very safe, the infrastructure of the college is really cozy and has 4 tall building and recently a new building was also completed and it has 2 main entries. the college is not too populated so it feels good and gives space. The faculty is very friendly and helpful as there are many young teachers which makes it easy for students to feel understood. The campus life in college is the best time i have ever spent. the ground is really big and gives good sunlight so it makes it really cozy and warm during the winters to sit in the ground and have sunlight.
- The campus has many hangout spots where you can hangout around all day. The people are very friendly and no one stops you for anything. It is easy to socialize and you can take parts in societies for more exposure.
- The time table of the college is also nice. Somedays can be bad like too exhausting or too many breaks in between the classes otherwise it is really nice and during every Tuesdays and Thursdays there is extra 40 minutes break for the Extra curricular activities and many interesting activities are held during that time and no classes are taken which is fun.
Dislikes
- The fests of the college is one of the best fest in DU but it does not allow you to bring your friends from other college whether it be a girl or a boy and you yourself have to go to a lot of security process for getting into your own college
- Some faculty teachers are really old to teach and they just waste the time of students by teaching badly and they just come and sit in the class.
Remarks :
The factors that made me choose the college was that it was one of the best college in university of delhi in south campus. It also was a women's college so it also felt safer for me being away from home getting a good college and that too women's. The admission during 2021 for getting into University of Delhi was by merit. Now it take admissions by CUET exam and the cuttoffs are released. During 2021 the admissions where taken by your 12th result. My result was not very nice but being a defense personnel we are given reservations of 5% in every college of University of Delhi. and i applied by CW category and i got the college alloted. For getting cleared in CW category you need to fill a form and get it signed by the Defence institution as a proof of being a Defense Personnel.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college provides with many curricular activities and has many societies ,according to your interests you can take part in it. The societies of Gargi college are excellent and considered as best societes in DU. It provides you with great exposure. I chose the Course B.Com programme because the faculty in Gargi college overall in University of delhi is great. Gargi college provides with great placements including Big 4's. the faculty is great. it uses traditional teaching method only . The terms exams were held every 4 months and the difficulty level was moderate. The DSC courses can be a little hard otherwise the subjects taught are very helpful and easy to study.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes i have opted for internship and the type for internship i have applied for was Graphic Designing and Human Resource Management. The companies name was SAARTHI, Samarth. i also got an internship in NITI Ayog. The placement cells also notifies you about the internships provided by the company in college placement cell group and it is very helpful.
Placement Experience :
The placement in the college is great and the placement cell of the college works really hard on getting the best companies and placements in the college. Many great companies companies including the Big 4's. Very few students opt for placements though because the students mostly have plans for studying . The highest package in the academic year 2023-24 was 24 Lakhs which is still great for a graduate student. My plans after getting the degree is clearing CAT exam and getting a good college that is top IIM'S for pursuing MBA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fees for the first year was 9000 RS, during the second year the fees increased to Rs.2000 and the yearly fees then was 11000.The fees during the third year again increased to 2000Rs,the fees then was 13000 Rs. There is no scholarship for fees as it is already less due to the college being a government college. the Fees for other batchmates were also the same.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is great and i had one of the best times of my life. It gives great social exposure. the clubs or let's say the societies in DU are tremendous. The college has every kind of society and you can take part accordingly to your interest. It has Western/Classical music society, dance society, literature society, the queer society, marketing society and many more. The societies in Gargi College are one of the best Societes in University of Delhi. I myself was a part of the Western music society and it gave me the chance to explore all the colleges in DU and o great college like IIT, DTU and also got to participate in competition in colleges in different states such as IIT Kanpur. BITS Pilani. The societies are run by the students only, the teachers are the coordinaters. The library is also available in the college and it is great and is air conditioned and has a seperate study space in it. You can find all kinds of book in the library and can borrow it.
Hostel Facilities :
The college does not provide hostel but it does have canteen and the affordability is great in the canteen. Any food in the canteen cost under 50 Rs only. and there is also Nescafe in the college and it gives great frappe and iced tea. every person in the college loves it. it is a bit costly compared to the canteen food but still affordable and has the best taste. For the first year i stayed in PG and for the 2nd and 3rd year i stayed in Flat sharing with my friends that made the place affordable.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
