My Experience in College
Likes
- Infrastructure of the college is very huge
- As number of students are very high the networking opportunity is also very high
- As many events occur every time so we can get exposure and new experiences
Dislikes
- During time of summers the buses are very hot
- A little bit less transparency in checking of papers of End semester exams
- As infrastructure is very large if we want to go to one location from other it is very time consuming even though their are e-rickshaws but they chare money
Remarks :
Overall college is good in terms of infrastructure, college life, events, exposure, networking rest it depends upon people to people's perspective nothing is 100% perfect No, I just gave CUCET Exam and got admission with 30% scholarship. This was my only last option for choosing this college after IIT NITs IIIT and UIET Chandigarh Not much preparation is needed just normal 11th and 12th grade level questions (for Engineering students syllabus was from Physics Chemistry Maths and Biology)
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is very well planned accordingly to the future needs of the industry. Exams and academics pressure is there but not very much if one works consistently its nothing. The faculties are very friendly and have a good knowledge about their subject but also there are some exceptions. Faculties teach with the help of both whiteboard and projector. There is projector in every classroom. There are various kinds of exams MST 1 and 2 (comes almost monthly) and EST (final end semester examination) and Practical assessments 1-3 or 4 and Lab MST and Lab EST for practical subjects The level of exams are neither very high nor very low. The level of exam is perfectly designed to test the ability of students.
Internships Opportunities :
As I am in 3rd semester right now therefore I don't know much but I can tell some points the companies which come for placement sometimes also offer for internships and additional more companies also offer internships and the stipend is totally dependent upon the company and student.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for placement for maximum companies is 7.5 CGPA all the students having this criteria can sit in placement although there may be some other criteria set by companies time compnies are like IBM, Adobe, Microsoft, Amazon, Google etc. Highest package is around 54 LPA and avg package is around 10 LPA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
136200 per semester (i.e 2,72,400 yearly) this whole is tuition fee for BE CSE General For AIML it was 1,50,000 rupees per semester but now it is 1,72,000 additionally 2500 examination fee is to be paid per semester (i.e 5000 yearly) During time of admission they ask for 10000 rupees as for seat reservation which is adjusted to total fee, if someone does not want to enrol later it will be refunded without any cut there is scholarship option also available before enrolling first we have to give a small eligibility test called CUCET which gives opportunity up to 100% scholarship there is also loan option available
Campus Life :
Almost everyday there is some event or hackathon or some workshop happens inside college. Any student can be part of these event either by volunteering or by participating in these events. There is no limit of students how much they want and can participate in these events. Some major fest like technical fest occurs annually with concerts at evening along with at time of orientation for whole 7 days every night some new popular personality would come to the concert for their live performance some are: Arijit Singh, Badshah, Ninja, Jubin Nautiyal, etc All kinds of books are available in libraries and environment of them is very quiet and peaceful. There are many clubs societies which are run by students themselves for example IEEE, NSS, NCC , etc

Placement Experience :
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

Placement Experience :
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
