There were no GDs or PIs. We gave an exam called JEE-Mains. And to get a tech branch like COE,IT,SE,MCE you need to get a rank under 25k atleast if you are Delhi candidate. For outside delhi, competition is tougher. After exam's results are announced, we had to fill in counselling in a site called JAC Delhi. From there, we got admitted into BTech in DTU. Some good aspects is good and respectable placements, well maintained infrastructure etc. while some bad aspects are ruthless management, high student intake with high reservation for Delhi students(around 85%).
I chose IT(Cyber Security) due to increasing demand of Cyber Security in India and since DTU is a prestigious college and is close to my home and has good placement opportunities, I preferred this. Coming to faculty, They are very accomplished researchers in their fields and have good knowledge of their area, but it is natural for them to be not be as competent in teaching so a few learning gaps are left but due to strong senior-junior network here, it doesnt remain an issue. Exams happen twice every semester, namely midsem and endsems. Diffculty level was moderate for endsems while easy to moderate for midsems. Exams are timely and well maintained.
I havent opted for any internships as oncampus interns are allowed from 5th semester onwards. Intern opportunities are also good but are difficult to crack compared to placements. Internships almost always require above 8.5 cgpa and exceptional hold on DSA and good projects on resume. Internships are also very decent. with average stipend of about 30-40k per month and also high end interns ectend to 2 Lac per month for interns.
DTU is known for its exceptional placement opportunities. Several companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber, Atlassian visist campus every year. The placement is dependent on CGPA, projects and coding temperament and knowledge of CS fundamnetals. In 2025 1700+ offers were made and highest salary hit 85lpa and median was around 13.25lpa. Percentage of students placed is around 65-75%, due to high intake of students but still is a very respectable number. If a student is in tech branch, then their average package is usually higher than core engg branches.
Tuition fees for first year is 1.63lac for first year while non govt components add upto total first year fee of 247700. This fee keeps on increasing compounded every year. Hence for second year tuition fees is 2.68lac then for third year it is 2.86lac and finally in fourth year it is 3.06 lac. The non govt component includes Extra curricular fee of 22k then lab, seminar etc fee of 36k then examination fee is 15k and medical fee is 700.This is the scheme for Gen, EWS and OBC. But, for people with SC/ST reservation, they dont have to pay non govt component, hence their tuition fee is final fee. As for scholarships, their is DTU Merit scholarship, EDistrict scholarship, NSP scholarship(for reserved categories), Dell Aspire Awards etc. Hence, if you are meritorious you can get scholarships easily but somehow have to arrange first year fee atleast by yourself.
DTU is known for its campus life and infrastructure. It has well maintained and designed labs, classrooms, library, sports complex, auditorium, concert ground etc. It used to have many fest but in this session they have likely increased strictness and no good fest has taken place till now. One of the biggest fests of North India i.e Engifest happens in DTU every february. along with that Sports fest, Literature festival, Cultural festival, Tech festivals do take place. Then some festival themed festivals are also held on Holi, Diwali, Navratra etc. It has a very large and well maintained lawn called sports complex with nets, etc for students interested in sports. Along with that their are many student run societies and clubs in DTU from various niches. Like debating group called Sahitya, AIML group called AIMS, robotic group called UAS, Cyber security group called EHAX, Theatre and drama called Pratibimb and similarly their are many.

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
