Firstly, I had heard about the prestige and image of Gargi as a college. Also, I researched about it and it showed among the top colleges for commerce in Delhi University. Lastly, I wanted a college which was excellent but also near my home, and it was quite near where I lived. Therefore, no PG expenses! There were no tests or interviews. I got in through CUET. I gave the tests, scored well and got in Gargi!
The course is according to the New Education Policy which the entire DU follows since 2022. It helps you to explore subjects in other courses as well like psychology, English, Science, etc. Although, at times, it becomes kind of pointless because sometimes, you also have to study for environmental science which is the type of subject we used to study in elementary school. The exams are quite smooth and you can easily pass even if you study a night before. Although, the internals are a bit strict. You have to keep track of them because if you miss internals, chances are the teacher won't take it again. The faculty is great and most of them are doctorates, with PHDs and big research on their own subjects.
Yes, I had opted for internships throughout my college years. I would say, they have multiple companies to choose from like PW, Finshots, etc. Various roles are offered like Human Resources, Finance, Sales, Data Analytics, etc. most of them are more commerce based. Basically, these opportunities are either available through internship fairs or even better, the whatsapp groups of the official department also have these invites from placement cell almost every other day.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
Honestly, the fee is absolutely affordable here at Gargi. It matters from course to course. In my first year as a commerce student, I was charged 12500 rs. which was less than other students too because I was an OBC student. You also get financial aid from various schemes where financially weak students can get laptops as well as a huge cut on their fee.
The social life is extravagant. The annual fest is Reverie and it's conducted in February but there are small fests and activities going on almost every week! There's no boring day at Gargi. The Google labs are well equipped, we have digital libraries with computers. The classrooms can improve though. Sports day and other societies are quite active like music, dance, literature, debate, etc.

Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
