This college was chosen by me because it is the cheapest in Ludhiana. Also i am a bright student who could avail seat here. The cut off was very high. There was no discussion, interview or written test. The admission was filled online and we got a call from college after almost 20 days. The college provides you with a prestige title and everybody believes you are a scholar if you get admission in this college.
I chose this course because being from a commerce background Bcom is everybody's first priority. Teaching method varies from teacher to teacher. Some teachers are very serious for their subject and teach in detail about their subject. Some teachers are serious about the performance of the children in exams and stick on the book and make sure students are ready for the exam. Some teachers are not very serious about their subject and take classes twice a week and just try to finish the syllabus. College exams are conducted 20 days before the university exams in every semester. Fee structure is something i couldn't understand. For 2 semesters my fee was around 9000, for other two it was 2000, for 1 it was 12000 and last semester fee was only 200. I don't know the scholarships given and its affect. Although there are alot of scholarships for STs and SCs and other lower classes.
I personally have never applied for any internships because i never get to know about any. Some girl from the council did apply for an internship with municipal corporation of India. Also 5 highest scorers of 5th semester got to get income tax internship. There they learnt about filing of returns and other tasks.
There was a placement drill for the final year. I didn't participate in it because i am currently employed part time. 60% students can find jobs after college but placements percentage is around 20% only. My plans personally after getting the degree is to go for government jobs.
Campus is very student friendly. It's not so hard to socialise. There are various clubs to enter in. It depends on what you are interested in. The college is always interested in taking new ideas from students and welcome everybody's suggestion and support them in every way possible. Sports, Gym, Cricket, NCC, NSS holds a very prominent position in our college. Hostel is great and inside the college campus and is quite affordable but the food quality is average. I personally don't live in any PG or Hostel.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
