The name and fame this college holds made me choose it. Both my mother and her sister graduated from this college and both of them had positive reviews. It's a big deal to get admission to this college. It is quite affordable and offers a great learning experience. Moreover, it also offers other Co-curricular activities like NCC, NSS, dance, music, sports etc. Compared to other colleges fees are very genuine still have some scholarships for merit-based and category-wise scholarships.
One who has a good interest in science and research can go for this course. It focuses on both theoretical and practical parts. Moreover, the teachers here are great. They listen to you, and your problems and give you a couple of solutions. All the teachers are highly qualified. My favourite teacher, there was Harleen's mam and all the maths faculty. They were so genuine and friendly that you could share anything with them. Fees already are quite genuine. It is already quite affordable but you can still go for a merit scholarship and a Dr. Ambedkar scholarship.
I once visited the job fare but most of the time they offered jobs for last year's students and graduated students therefore I was not eligible but all others applied and were interviewed. Vast variety of companies visited and many students got the job.
Very few placements that are worth going for are given after a bachelor's. You can expect good placements for your master's but not after graduation. For a teaching job, you must have at least a master's and if you want a permanent job you will need phd to apply. I would prefer to go for higher studies rather than placement here. Some years they conduct a job fare in which various companies visit the college where anyone from any college can apply for jobs, they take interviews and offer jobs.
The infrastructure is nice but the rooms are a bit cosy. The only labs are Ac. Sometimes when classes are combined it becomes soo humid. Science department classes are nice. Benches are at steps so the board is visible. I have not opted for a hostel but I have had the food which was quite nice. Multiple tests are conducted here. Teej Fest is worth watching. It's like a completely new place during teej which is celebrated heavenly. Other than that farewells and freshers, sports day, women's day, science day and many other functions are conducted regularly. There are various clubs you can join Luke Science Society, rotary club, Maths Club, Dance Club etc.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
