The college is under University of Delhi, which holds a good academic reputation. The overall academic statistics and the student profile of this college made me choose this. The admission back in 2017 was purely on the basis of merit in 10+2.
Course curriculum: I would give it 9/10. The teachers are nice and they give you plenty of resources/notes to help you with overall curriculum. The practicals were held daily. Academics: The college is pretty serious about their academic reputation so I would give it 10/10 for that. Faculty: 8/10. For some subjects, I had to struggle with resources and concept clarity because of visiting faculty or inexperienced ones. Rest was fine. Scholarship and Fees: I paid around 30k for the entire degree without any scholarship. Since it is a government college, so the fee is very nominal and you are also eligible for a couple of scholarships.
There is one placement cell but that is majorly for management or finance courses. Students from other stream are allowed to take part in interviews or placement activities but mostly the companies around sales and marketing were being pitched back then.
The campus and social life is pretty average. It is an off-campus college so you do not have frequent events or political rallies. There is just one annual fest called Karvaan. Back in 2017, the infrastructure was pretty okay, recently the building was renovated with new facilities and instruments.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
