- Mostly I like college campus. It's has a good infrastructure also and It has good campus life. Tha faculty members are also good. Student don't get bore anytime and there are many extracurricular activities that are happening in our college always. Few days also we had a annual sports, farewell and cultural rally and many things that are always going in our college. Lastly I want a student can have a good college life and enjoy their college days.
Remarks :
The college has very good teachers and they always help students in their education. The college campus has a good environment. There is one big playground and an indoor stadium. The biodiversity is very good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
First of all, it is a government college so the course fee is very low, and many scholarships are provided by the government of Assam for government institutions. The course curriculum is also good. Any students who want to pursue a B.A., B.Com, or B.Sc, they prefer this college and this is one of the best colleges in Northern East with an NAAC A+ grade.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't yet opted for an internship. Currently, no internship is going on in our college and I haven't heard of any internship opportunity before either. However, there is a hope that many internship opportunities might come in the future.
Placement Experience :
The placements are better gradually with the years. The college is graded A+ by NAAC and has become one of the best government colleges in North East. Last year(2022-23) many students got the opportunities and were selected for TCS jobs. It's a great college with good placements and job opportunities.
Campus Life :
The campus is also good. There are separate buildings for art, science, and commerce students. There are canteen facilities also inside the college campus. The best about this college is that it has a very good biodiversity. The environment is all around green. The college has a big playground, gym, and indoor stadium also. It has a separate boys' common room and a girl's common room where they can chill during their off classes. No, I have not opted for a hostel.

Good-moderate faculty but maintenance of every other thing is very much not on time The authority doesn’t seem to be concerned about the students and delays every work and at the last moment you will be running around .

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My life in B.Borooah College as a science student
Placement Experience :
Placements At B. Borooah College for a BSc Forget it. There's no placement scene like you hear about. No companies come for recruitment drives. The so-called placement cell just puts up notices for government job ads or maybe a local pharmacy needing a helper. I've never seen a single big name visit campus to hire BSc grads. So there's no list of recruiters, no number of offers, and definitely no talk of high packages. Zero students get placed from here in that way. The plan after the degree is everything. For me, it's going for an MSc. For others, it's preparing for government exams, doing B.Ed., or applying to labs and hospitals directly. This college gives you the valid degree, the ticket to sit for other exams or apply further. It doesn't get you a job. It makes you eligible to go find one yourself. Your future is 100% in your own hands after you walk out.

There are 100% internship in Bsc agriculture are also good the average packages 3 to 4 LPA the highest package is 12 LPA percentage of students getting placements are about 70 - 80% the eligibility criteria depends upon the performance of the student on its practical work and its CGPA

The ratio of placement and job is very poor, this is a college of general degree course, so after passing B.Sc., B.Sc. one does not get a job directly, in future one has to do Masters degree, PhD.But data from the last three/four year revealed that students did get jobs in SBI and some other organization, but the percentage was very low.That is why most of the students after completing normal graduation take admission in courses like Masters and BEd, Deled.And my plan in future is to do Masters from IIT or IISER, after that I want to do PhD.

Life as a BTech Student at IIT guwahati
Placement Experience :
there is a CPI criteria of around 6 to sit for placements. The highest packages for bachelors can go up to 1.5cr. Companies in coding include Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Ola, Uber, finance companies like JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and many more. Highest paying companies are AlphaGrep, Quadeye, JaneStreet but that is very competitive with only people with the best results and from CS getting in. Many people also receive preplacement offers after internships. There are also many companies that visit for product management roles like Ola, Meesho etc. The placement process for Design students is separate. There are also core companies like Texas instruments, that visit.

I choose this course because I am interested in learning coding and I want to seek my future in this line. I am finding some difficulties in understanding the subjects and topics but I believe it is because I am new to this field and new to everything.
