IITR - Reality - GOOD BAD ASPECTS

- Lecture hall complex with new infrastructure.
- Student activity center with lot of facilities for students.
Dislikes
- Some hostels have old infrastructure which is sometime frustating.
- Some closed buildings are still not demolished.
Remarks :
I gave JEE ADVANCED 2022 and got 9122 AIR and because of fascinating curriculum and campus i choose IIT ROORKEE. I was preparing for jee mains and advanced from class 11th and got seat in jossa counselling. IITR has good and bad aspects both such that beautiful campus, great courses, brilliant teachers and peer group and strictness in academic and strict in attendance and many more aspects.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I am interested in civil engineering and with my All India Rank I was getting civil engineering in IITR which is one of the best in the country so I choose it. Talking about curriculum it has international level curriculum with all theoretical and practical aspects covered with all field visits and all. Talking about scholarships there are lot of scholarships based on reservations and merit which can help students a lot.
Internships Opportunities :
I am looking forward to participate in upcoming internship season which is open for pre final year . I will be looking for offers which are related civil engineering and field work. Upto now, my seniors have received a lot of good and better offers.
Placement Experience :
There are official great placement records for IITR which shows great academic culture and determinations of students. There are 2 Oncampus internships and placement rounds every yer o get students work and corporate experience .
Campus Life :
There is a great club culture in IITR. There are club for all things and all interests like for coding, dance, culinary , fine arts, designs etc. Hostels are heaven for students to chill and play around with all cleanliness.

Placement Experience :
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
