IIT Delhi is widely regarded as one of the best colleges in the country and that was the main reason I came here. The only selection criteria is the IIT JEE exam and the selection in ITs is only based on the rank in the JEE Advanced exam. I prepared for the exam in my drop year after graduating from class 12th. It is generally advisable to prepare for 2 years at least.
The course curriculum is highly specialized and refined. It is not easy at all. The course is very demanding and requires consistent hardworking. The fees are also not too much. I chose my branch purely based on the rank I got. I did not have any prior knowledge of engineering before joining IITD. Now, talking about the faculty, they are all highly experienced and educated in their fields, but most of them are not that interested in teaching and are inclined more towards their own research. That is the only downside.
I got an internship at HUL in supply chain management, which was a day one company offering 1.5 lakhs per month. It was through the college placement cell. About 40% students are able to avail internships through the placement cell.
The placements are as good as they can get for any engineering college in India. On an average when the markets are functioning normally, the average salaries for any NON-CS department can range from 14lpa to 18lpa. For CS the number are considerably higher. About 80-85% students are able to get placed through the campus placements. The highest package can go from 1.5cr to 2.5cr. This year it was 2.5cr.
The campus life is amazing. IITD's campus is located right in the middle of the city unlike many of the other colleges. The hostels are old and not air conditioned (except for some of the new ones), which becomes a major issue during the Delhi summers. The mess food again isn't great and also a little on the more expensive side compared to other IITs (about 35k per semester) The overall infrastructure is quite good. The sports facilities, library, lecture halls are all state of the art. There are all different kinds of sports and we have a very big inter hostel General Championship every year. The cultural clubs are also very active and prominent. The dance, music, fine arts, design, debating, literature are some of the more active clubs on campus. Apart from the fests conducted by individual clubs all over the year, there are 2 major fests, the Rendezvous (cultural fest in October-November) and Tryst (tech fest in February-March). Both get decent funding and very big events.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
