The placement success ratio of IIT Roorkee attracted me to get admission here. To get admission to IIT, there is an exam called JEE whose cut-off is generally like 90 percentile every year. I joined a local coaching to crack JEE.
I chose this course because of my rank and for the IIT tag which matters a lot in private companies. The faculty is top-notch, fully helpful, and intelligent. 2 exams in the semester, and mostly 1 exam is within 2 months from when the semester starts. The tuition for general students is 1 lakh per sem and 35k for hostel and mess facility. Many scholarships are awarded like NCP, MCM, and free messing.
No, still I’m not done with any intern. However, in intern company visits on campus to provide internship opportunities to students. The stipend depends on the person's ability and skills, it can be 2 lakh or 50k. The project brings to the safer side of getting an intern.
A good CGPA allows students to sit in placements. Almost all companies visit IIT Roorkee like Google, Microsoft, and Flipkart. The highest package is 1 crore and 18 lakh is an average package. 70-80 percent get admission. I plan to study further.
There are mainly 3 fests in a year namely Sangram Sport Test, Thomso Cultural Fest, and Tech Fest Cognizance. Almost all course-related and other books are present in the library. There are grounds for every sport, the coach trains the students and they play in a college team. Many social clubs or societies are within a campus like Outreach, MARS, Fashion Society, and PAG for coders. The hostel is good, good quality and is also nicer than another college. The hostel is inside the campus with full security and canteens are available.
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
