I got into the college via cutoff list released by the university of Delhi. Once my mark met the cutoff and accepted, my documents were checked and approved and I had to pay the fee. Everything happened online in the Portal web of Delhi University.
I chose the course to pursue a career in Food science and nutrition. We have to study 5 core subjects and out of it we can specialise in only one of them . One has to work very hard to specialise in food and nutrition as it is high in demand and specialisation are given through merit list. Teaching staffs good and qualified, most of them have graduated from Lady Irwin college itself. Exam happens every semester as per dates declared by the university. In comparison to other DU colleges the fees are little high especially exam form fees. Scholarship are provided to meritorious students and LIG . Also one can issue laptop for academic years which is quite good.
Our teacher connected us for internships through her personal connections and I also got an offer from the external who came to take our practical exam . Internships are all through teachers and there’s no specific faculty for that.
There’s no campus placement although it depends on teachers like our teacher helped us get internship through her personal connections . Otherwise one has to look for job on their own . Mostly people from our college go for further studies, clear net and teach at colleges only.
We have annual fest -Quintessence, it okay nothing very special but crowd is good. Social life is fine but little less as comparison to other du colleges. One can join different societies according to one’s interests such as dance society, singing, fashion or entrepreneurship society etc. There’s always society fear going on which is fun as they put up stalls etc. Library is pretty good it has all the resources from books to previous year question papers. There’s also annual sport day which is also pretty fun. Other fest like annual Diwali fest is great! Hostel is right in the campus which is very convenient. Although after Covid even though semester duration has been reduced they charge the same amount of money even for shorter period of time. Food is mid, administrative of hostel division are kinda misogynist and controlling. Hostel union also involves lots of politics. Hostel curfew is at 7pm . If you get this roommates hostel is kinda fun. The locality is also good.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
