- I like the commerce faculty of dyal singh college. And the campus exposure is also good.
Dislikes
- Overall campus is good but infrastructure can be more good because the college area is huge so they can make it better for sports. Although it is good but i think it can be more good from other colleges if they use college land properly but now they are working on it also.
Remarks :
I choose this college because commerce faculty of dyal Singh is so good and it is best for bcom hons in south campus after Sri venkateshwar and ARSD. And societies are also cooperative in our college. Apart from that the location of our college is best in whole DU college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I'm from commerce background so somehow it's obvious to pursue bcom hons and I'm also preparing for CS so it's become easy to handel both because syllabus is also similar a bit. Professors are also very qualified and knowledgeable and to be honest thr best part is that they are so cooperative with the students. They are always ready to help us and they really listen to our issues and try to fix it. Each semester is of 6 months but you get time to study only for 4months because exams take 2 months. You need to pay 14035 for whole course and other than that you have to pay only examination fees for your semester exam which range from 1000-2000 according to your subjects it vary. And you also get scholarship opportunity a lot.
Internships Opportunities :
I have opted for an internship in dyna grow enterprises. It was a great experience. I worked as a sales executive and my stipend was 10000. You can get various chances of doing internship by the help of societies. Like in dyal sigh college there is a placement cell society which provides internship opportunity from various company for roles like sales executive, human resource, marketing, business development etc and stipend range is 10000-20000.
Placement Experience :
Placement of dyal singh college is also high like it comes under top 20 colleges of du In Placement opportunities . You can get chances to work in Infosys, Amazon, flipkart, and many big companies also.
Campus Life :
Hostel is not available in dyal singh college but the campus life is full of enjoyment. You can get exposure which will help you to enhance your personality. You can also join societies. Fests of this college is so good that students of other colleges also come to see. some of the Fests like umang, comunique'24. Infrastructure of this college is also very good like it has 2 library with a great collection of books apart from this there is rose garden, butterfly garden, herbal, garden in this college which i think no college have.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Maitreyi college is so underrated

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
