Remarks :
NIT tag was the main factor behind choosing this college over other private institutions all over the country. NITK Surathkal has a campus that is unparalleled and is a beautiful shore side campus with a private beach which other colleges can only dream off.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering is a 4 year Btech Course which teaches about the materials we use in our daily lives and how it is obtained from an ore which is a simple rock to the most advanced computer chips we see to the bridges and infrastructure that is built using these metals
Internships Opportunities :
Internships are usually given out in your third year and various companies come and take students of all disciplines and each one finds their company which they continue to work in even after they graduate
Placement Experience :
Being a Tier-1 College in India placements and internships are plenty and need not to be worried about everyone gets placed with a decent package with the average package being around 12 lpa across all the streams which is the best across all the private universities
Campus Life :
NITK offers a rich social life with various clubs for many disciplines and one can find a club of their interest without any difficulty Social gatherings are often organised like the cultural events to which people turn up from all over the country

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
