Likes
- We have the partion museum if you're interested in knowing the history during the partition.
- We also have cats and dogs and tiwari uncle ki canteen if you're hungry.
Dislikes
- The fee and infrastructure of this college is really bad.
- There are too many monkeys here it's kind of scary.
Remarks :
I initially got enlisted in Delhi University but I forgot to check the list and by the time I did, it was already too late so I had to opt for AUD. The admission process was pretty easy all you needed were the CUET exam results and some other eligibility criteria.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I want to prepare for UPSC and history is to me the best option to expand my knowledge as UPSC has history questions and also I missed English honors by 1%. The 1st-semester teacher had a language barrier but still, she cleared the concept so well and the current professors are so much better. The exams were held by the professors themselves at the end of the semester, so we had flexible timing slots for other exams. AUD is kind of expensive for a government college but it covers up for the academic performance.
Internships Opportunities :
I'm doing an internship on LinkedIn as a content writer, but yes our college also provides internship opportunities through the IT cell and via our seniors, but the internships provided by the seniors are not fixed and are most probably for a week or two.
Placement Experience :
I have only seen a few alumni who have gone abroad after their graduation here, yet I cannot say much about the placements here as the infrastructure is pretty bad and constantly changes. I for myself want to do PhD and teach in a school if I get to.
Campus Life :
Campus life is honestly pretty boring and we don't even have any fests of our own, we do have Diwali events and Holi events which were pretty nicely done. The library has an abundance of books for the whole semester you're here, with the benefit of a reading room which opened last semester and is a good hangout spot for avid readers like me. The girl's sports club is really strong here, it's nice to see girls play but sadly boys don't have much freedom here at Kashmere Gate campus. But we cover that for our photography club, dance, music, and arts club and occasionally go to other colleges for competitions. Also, there's only a girls' hostel available here for now which is linked with IGDTUW hostels.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
