IGKV is one of the top 15 agricultural universities ranked by ICAR. The admission process was not too complicated. Candidates can take admission through the ICAR exam or state-domicile candidates can apply through the PAT exam. The fee structure is comparatively lower than other agricultural universities. The Jagdalpur campus is not very developed. It is a decent college. The faculty is experienced in their respective field.
Bsc agriculture is an easy course for someone who wants to do higher education in this or its allied field. Faculty members are qualified and have a good field knowledge. Term exams are not too difficult and can be easily passed with moderate effort. The fee is not very high. ICAR candidates from other states get scholarships of 3k per month irrespective of their category.
Placement cells are dead in this college. No active placements done in the past few years. Most of the students prepare for government exams or go for higher studies. If you are looking for placements then this is not the place.
The annual cultural fest called MADAI is conducted from November to December. The sports festival is also conducted during this period. Hostel food is not very good but is affordable. The hostel fee is minimal. The locality is somewhat away from the city.
I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. They are very easy to approach and helpful in nature, they help us solving doubts and gives us tips in study.
There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.
Rare opportunities to get internship, and placement because of lack of skill in developing courses rather than academic books.some get internship because they worked hard. Placement is all about how much of your soft and technical skills are well developed
According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .
Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.
If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.
There are available campus placement and college provides some internship program through the webinar with companies.there avarage placement package around 8 to 10 LPA and the highest package is around 25 to 30 LPA
Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.
From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
Students are eligible for placement from the start of the 3rd year. Approximately 200 company visit every year for hiring process. The average CTC of the college placement is above 7 lakhs. The highest offer received in college is in crore. Around 85% of the students get placed at the end of the 4th year.
