RGNUL: The experience and expectations of an year
Remarks :
Admission to RGNUL is done based on CLAT. I prepared for CLAT by online coaching, and more than anything else, mock tests helped me the most. There was no further examination for admission. I chose this college because of several reasons. First, it was the best achievable option for me considering my CLAT rank. And the second was the proximity to my home. I considered several factors while deciding on this college better than the other options I had. It is a developing culture and the performance of the college is yet to achieve its peak for the next several years. The infrastructure is excellent and the comfort was a deciding factor for me. We have air-conditioned hostels and classrooms and the rooms are spacious. The mooting culture is thriving and many students from our batch in the first semester itself have won moots. The crowd is also very intelligent as state reservation is minimal. The college is performing better every year in terms of placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well-designed and thought-out. But sometimes it can be very vast in the social sciences subjects. The faculty is qualified and experienced. They are very helpful and approachable. You can also definitely expect help for writing research papers or some other academic pursuits. Earlier there used to be minor and major subjects in social sciences but now most of the social science subjects are covered in the 1st year itself and nearly all subjects are law subjects only from 3rd semester onwards. The fees are a bit extravagant, but the infrastructure and the food compensate for that. Also, the fee structure is getting more expensive for the coming batches. The mess fee is around 20000 per semester. But several scholarships are available too.
Placement Experience :
The number of students getting placed is increasing every year. The primary options one can consider are placement in MNCs and law firms, judiciary, litigation, and further studies. Some students have been offered jobs in 3rd and 4th years through PPO. Several tier 1 and tier 2 firms also come for campus placement like Luthra and Luthra, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, and Trilegal. The average package can be around 12 lakh per annum. Though judiciary culture has been very prevalent in the past, that is now changing and the number of students now preferring and achieving placements is now considerable. The internship committee is also very active and many students apply to various firms and chambers through it.
Campus Life :
Social life can get very hectic in even semesters and be they are a lot shorter with the same amount of syllabus to cover, it can get a little overwhelming. In the 2nd semester, we had zelus, a four-day sports fest, freshers and farewell. Also, numerous festivals are celebrated on the campus. But the college is a little outside the city so there are not numerous clubs nearby. The library is a 3-storey building with all the technical facilities. Classrooms are air-conditioned and well-furnished. It is compulsory to stay in the hostel except for some extraordinary circumstances for which you have to get permission from the administration. Two students have to share a room till 3rd year, but you can get a single occupancy room in 3rd year too. The hostels are air-conditioned and mess food is also fine with a wide variety. There are several student-run committees and centres. Legal Aid Clinic has been very active and several centres have their editorials.

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
