Likes
- The infrastructure of the college is very pretty. You get a campus which has a lot of food options also and classes are also a very comfortable place to study.
- The faculty of the college is very understanding and cooperative. Their teaching way make the students more easier to understand the concepts.
Dislikes
- The college is divided into 2 campuses so some fests are in another campus and we have to travel by ourselves. No mode of transportation is provided by the college.
- The management of the college is sometimes not that good. They fail to manage their website sometimes which creates difficulties for the students.
Remarks :
The infrastructure of the college and the placement data made me choose this college. I gave a personal interview for the selection and if you give 50 per cent of the answers correct then there is very much chance of your selection.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because it has subjects in which I am very much interested. Faculties have completed their PhD and the faculty is very cooperative. The teaching method is very understandable for the students. There are 2 semesters in 1 year and each semester has 2 exams- mid-semester and end-semester. The cost to study here is around 5-6 lacs.
Placement Experience :
The placements for the bcom hons course are decent. The highest package is around 12 lpa and the average package is around 6-7lpa. And as per college records, there are 100% placements. My plan after getting the degree is also get a good placement.
Campus Life :
The campus life at UPES is amazing. Uurja is the main fest of upes and it is conducted in November. The library has all the books available that you need and you can issue them for free. Sports festivals are also held twice or thrice in a year so it's always fun at UPES. Also, there are many clubs in the college that you can join and gain experience by working in those clubs in different roles. So the hostel rooms are good but if we talk about the mess food then, in my opinion, I didn’t find it that good. In nearby locations, you can get many private hostels and pg where you can get good food.

Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.

Underrated university for pursuing Management courses
Placement Experience :
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.

College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.

I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.

I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.

Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
